21 Qualifiers fished the final and with a break in the weather it looked good but heavy rain in preceeding days had affected the anticipated bags of whiting however there were still quite a few recorded by 16 anglers 38 in total with several over 30cm plus 2 Congers a cracking flounder and a rockling
Winner on the night Steve continued his good form from peg 14 with a 102cm eel to take the win second placed James next door on peg 15 had the fish of the match a cracking 44cm flounder and topped off with 5 whiting but got bit off by a conger which would have taken it Third placed Joe from peg 7 had a bag of 6 whiting to edge out forth placed Phil from peg 18 by a point who a small conger and 2 whiting

Many thanks to all who fished the matches throughout the year the fishing was very tough at times but improved greatly near the end hope to see you all there next year dates are included in the pictures

The last round was fished in good calm conditions with a northerly breeze and there were plenty of fish recorded with 15 of the 22 competitors catching 55 fish 53 whiting 1 Conger and a rockling
Winner on the night Paul on peg 17 hooked a good fish first cast however it became snagged but his patience was rewarded with a Conger of 112cm after a lengthy wait he followed that with 2 whiting to secure the win second placed Joe on peg 8 had a bag of 7 whiting including 2 over 30cm while third placed James had 4 whiting including a whopper of 41cm from peg 16 4th 5th and 6th places also had decent bags of whiting with several over 30cm

Gary the winner on the night from end peg 40 had a 49cm ray and a whiting to move him up the league with one round remaining .second placed Keith secured the league from peg 42 with another good perfomance catching 4 whiting while third placed Scott had 2 whiting from peg 57

16 anglers lined up for round 9 on a calm warm evening and we used the higher number pegs again 41-65 and it fished reasonable again with 10 competitors recording 23 fish 8 congers 11 whiting 1 silver eel 2 dogfish and a Thornback ray
Winner on the night was the consistent Keith who drew next to the pier peg 42 and made no mistake with a pair of congers 120cm and 107cm plus a whiting and now looks unbeatable in the league once again second placed Steve followed up his second in the last round with a Conger a dogfish and 2 whiting from peg 53 while third placed Phytos had a 107cm Conger and a whiting from peg 46
