About us: A very small new business created during lockdown by myself, Paula, with a little help from my daughters and granddaughters. Having supported local businesses throughout the last 12mths, it has made me realise just how incredible everyone is, individuals showing their creativity and talents- well you got m

e thinking... and Shop Of Happiness was born! My aim is to provide you with a quality gift that is not only beautiful, but is also sustainable and as vegan, organic and green as possible. Why? Because you, your friends and your family are worth it. We want you to open our gifts and be amazed at how much we can pack in to it for the price. We pride ourselves on delivering a quality raft of goodies for you, but that’s not all, we have also included an individual motivational or inspiration quote in the lid (which you can pop into your purse and wallet to remind you that you got this). There is also free gift of wildflower seeds for you to scatter or plant in a pot, helping the bees and insects to do their job of keeping trees and flowers pollinated. All of our boxes and packing is 100% recyclable, and 90% of all of our gift packaging is recyclable too. All boxes are individually hand packed with love by Paula. Evening peeps , been sitting tonight having a good old think about things .. so I thought I would post (you best grab a cuppa as I do waffle on !!)
Our Little Shop of Happiness was born when we were only a few months into lockdown, little did I know then how important this little business would become in peoples lives, including my own ... with the support of my family , who at times have saved my little shop and all of you wonderful peeps from some of my crazy ideas and believe me there have been a few 🤣🤣, what you see on the page are the ideas that passed the " are you kidding mum" Mel Chapman test.
I have always been aware of pricing without compromising on quality and adhering to our standards, buying local and hand making as much as I possibly can, nothing will leave my home until I'm 100% satisfied with it, and that's whether the order is £1 or £1000. Word of mouth is always the best form of advertising , so ensuring everything is exactly as I want it to be, be it for a special order with specific items or be it something special I have found, I will have the confidence to know that our reputation out in the big wide world is wonderful .
I have had 1 issue in the 18 months I've been open and that was a flaw in a scarf that I hadn't noticed before I boxed it up , but I learnt from that and try and go over things with a fine toothcomb so hopefully ensure nothing slips under radar again.
I will always source things I think you will like, and try my best to keep prices affordable for all budgets.
A couple of Questions I get asked ...
Have you got a website ? ermmm it is under construction hahaha which translates into I'm no good at technology so might be a while .
Where do you get your ideas? Normally 3am when something will pop into my mind that I've seen or someone has mentioned in passing.
Why don't you do any outside Fairs ? Good question and the answer is having the time, you keep me so busy with orders and they are priority to me so I would hate to spread myself so thin that I'm not giving 100% all the time. although I am doing 1 on 22nd November in Liscard Wirral, its not one with lots of stalls its just little old me oh and my mum, (this will be the 1 and only this year).
Think I best stop waffling now as Im sure you will all be snoozing by now, but before I do ..

LONG POST ALERT TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE SPECIAL; PEOPLE OFF TO UNIVERSITY IN SEPTEMBER ......
Hi everyone ...
As a mum I know what that feels like the gut wrenching split between supporting them every step and the one of my duckings is moving away and for me the latter was the hardest to deal with , wanting them to have the special things to have to had to remind them of home to keep them feeling safe. For those that havent had this challenge to deal with , you might read this and think hhhmmmm not really understanding this one.. thats ok x
For those that are facing this ,waiting for those results to see what Uni etc etc its a very stressful time.
However having said all that waffle (hahahaha) This is were Janes idea came in , she asked me to create a box of "Love from Home" which contains as many reminders of home as possible , be it certain sweets, smells, words, colours in fact anything at all which is what makes the box personal, no 2 boxes will ever be the same .
The other item i was asked to put in the box was "A HUG" now ive thought long and hard about these as I know there are loads out there with the same wording on and the "hug" stuck to the card, I didnt want that , I wanted to do something much more personal, so the idea is for the person ordering the box to write their own special words, that I will do in a letter form and the "hug" will have a ribbon with a coloured ribbon that can be hung on the wall in view all the time , so the love that is being sent with it is always there xx
The price of these boxes will start at £15 but it all depends what you would like me to put in it , we can chat that through.
It might seem very early to think about it but I will never want to let anyone down with orders that I cant make for you because I cant get the stock in in time xx
