I’m always chuff-chuffed when a toy comes into the shop and I can play with it. It’s also always good to do a bit of a wind-up so make it ‘full steam ahead’ to Fearn Antiques, where the stock is better than the puns.

What’s behind the door? Hmmmm, have I managed to buy a sign that describes what it’s like when you enter Fearn Antiques?

Come visit our ‘playground’, full of wonders for young and old alike, with a wide and varied range of treasures, toys, music, books, antiques and collectibles, with thousands of paper and ephemera items, all beautifully presented in a shop full to bursting with fabulous items. Stock changes daily (and sometimes from hour to hour).

Did you know that we have a small, but perfectly formed, stock of music on vinyl, CD, tape and even on reel to reel. We buy good quality albums and will travel to look at collections. Illustrated is a first press of Symphonica by George Michael. It was his sixth album and the only live one issued by him, albeit in a limited edition of only 500 copies. It’s in the shop now, along with a great collection of David Bowie, including limited editions and bootlegs.

Please note, we are closed Friday to Sunday as we are on a buying trip to the central belt.

I like old tools. They were built to last and many have seen a lifetime or even three of being used. I always try and clean the tools that come into stock so they are prepared and ready for either work or display. No one wants a grotty tool and they will last another couple of lifetimes with care and cleaning.

Pop in and see us and go home with a working piece of history that is better than anything made today.
