On Sunday 11th October, Kate, founder of Flobee Designs, will be taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon in support of the charity. Dementia has affected both sides of Kate’s family, making this a cause incredibly close to her heart.

Every purchase helps us add a little more to our fundraising total, supporting Alzheimer’s Society in its work helping people living with dementia and their families, while funding vital research into diagnosis, treatment and care.

💙 So, I’ve been keeping a little something quiet…Behind the scenes, I’ve been training for something pretty big — my first ever half marathon! 🏃‍♀️

On Sunday 11th October, I’ll be taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon in London — 13.1 miles, one foot in front of the other, all for one incredibly important reason…

💙 I’m raising money in aid of Alzheimer's Society

This cause is incredibly personal to me. I’ve seen dementia affect loved ones on both sides of my family, and know just how heartbreaking it can be to watch someone you love slowly change and fade away.

So Iets make every one of those 13.1 miles count.

To help raise as much as possible, we’ve launched our Made for Memories Collection at Flobee Designs. 💙

And just like that… summer holidays are over. 🥹☀️

Summer 2026, you really have been something special. ❤️

Six weeks of little adventures, big adventures and all the ordinary moments in between. Disney magic, sandy toes and salty hair at the beach, forest walks and den building, rollercoasters and squeals of excitement, watching the eclipse through our homemade projectors, lying on the trampoline late at night searching the sky for meteorites… 🌙⭐️

Countless ice creams. Zoo days. Teddy bear picnics. Homemade cakes. Movie days in our pyjamas. Slow mornings, messy afternoons and those days where we didn’t really do anything at all.

Six weeks sounds like such a long time when you look ahead to the summer, but then suddenly you’re standing at the school gates wondering how on earth it disappeared so quickly… watching our little lady walk through those school gates as a Year 2 🥹📚

Another year older. Another little step towards growing up. We couldn’t be prouder of you, sweetheart.

And to all our wonderful customers — thank you for your patience over the summer. To those who received the occasional very late-night message, and those who waited a little longer than usual for a reply, thank you for giving us the space to switch off, slow down and make those all-important family memories. 🥰

And finally, to all the little ones starting their school journey — we hope your first steps into this new chapter are filled with excitement, friendship, laughter and wonderful memories. ✨

And to the parents standing at those school gates with that huge lump in your throat… you’ve got this. Give them an extra squeeze, take the photo, shed the tear if you need to and remember that it’s okay to feel proud and heartbroken all at once.

And to all the children heading back for another year — may this school year bring you new adventures, new friendships, lots of laughter and so many reasons to be proud of yourselves.

🎉 WE'RE BAAAACK! 🎉

After two incredible weeks away exploring France, we are now home! ✨

We've squeezed in more adventures than we thought possible, made memories we'll treasure forever, and watched the kids have the time of their lives at one of the most magical places on Earth... 🏰💫 (Don't worry, the photos and holiday spam are coming soon!)

Now back to reality... and let's just say the holiday washing pile has somehow multiplied into enough laundry to clothe a small country! 🧺😂 Once we've battled Mount Washmore, we'll be straight back into work mode doing what we love.

🌴☀️ We're officially on the wind down to holiday! ☀️🌴

The order book is now closed as the Flobee Designs team will shortly be swapping laser machines and hot glue guns for some well-deserved family time! 💛

📦 If you placed your order by Tuesday 7th July, don't worry – we're still busy making, packing and dispatching everything before we go, with all orders leaving us no later than Friday 10th July. You'll receive your dispatch confirmation and Royal Mail tracking details as soon as your parcel is on its way.

💬 We'll still be checking into our messages every now and then, but replies are likely to take a little longer than usual while we enjoy some much-needed family time. Thank you for bearing with us.

🎉 It's been a pretty busy couple of weeks... and not just because of customer orders!

The Flobee Designs workshop has been taken over by one of our most demanding clients... our daughter! 💕 We've spent the last week creating decorations and finishing touches ready for her 6th birthday celebrations, and we had the most wonderful weekend celebrating with our family and friends. 🥳

A huge thank you and shout out to some fantastic fellow small businesses who helped make the day so special. 💛 We absolutely love supporting other independents, and we'll be tagging them all below so you can go and show them some love too!

From tomorrow we'll begin winding down our order book ahead of our family holiday. Larger signs, plaques and custom orders will be the first products to be paused, with more items gradually following until Wednesday 8th July, when both our website and Etsy shop will be placed into Holiday Mode.

🌞 Breaking news... the Flobee Designs production team will soon be swapping laser machines, packing benches and endless to-do lists for some much-needed family holiday time! 🏖️✈️

Before we disappear in search of sunshine and relaxation, we'll be winding down orders from 1st July to make sure everything is created, packed and dispatched before we head off.

⏳ Products with longer production times will be paused first.

🛒 Our website and Etsy shop will be placed fully into Holiday Mode from Wednesday 8th July.

📅 We expect to reopen the order book around 25th July, with dispatches resuming from Monday 29th July. We'll keep you updated on our socials when we're back and ready to go!
