Thursday night we were so lucky to host Anna Penn for the launch of her debut graphic novel Apocalypse Baby, a heart-racing, apocalyptic story about two teenage boys, a baby, and a zombie apocalypse. 🧟

What was especially lovely to see was the passion in the room, not only from Anna herself, but also from the young adult readers who showed up with their support and attention. Moments like these remind us exactly why independent bookshops matter, especially on World Bookshop Day. 📚

Apocalypse Baby is available now in store at Next Page Books Hitchin! 📚

Our What Are You Reading campaign continues, and we believe this one is very important, especially in today’s time.

The lovely Felix from shares his thoughts on Plays Well with Others by Allan Gurganus, an important book on friendship, loss and the people who carry us through the hardest times.

Thank you so much to Felix, and to everyone who have shared such beautiful thoughts on their books and why reading is so important. We couldn’t have this campaign without you! 📚 ❤️
