Thank you to every one of you who has supported me, booked onto a workshop, subscribed to my mail club, bought a painting, greeting card or print… I truly feel like I’m the luckiest gal in the world getting to do this as a job - and it’s all down to the people who made it a reality. You.

I am continually looking for ways to put my nan’s typewriter to work and today was spent making a prototype for a little collection of stories 📖

I decided to focus on ‘The Women in the Stars’ (working title 😬). Five short tales about some of the constellations honouring women. Each one features a mini constellation - thank you v much asterisk key - highlighted with a light watercolour wash before being bound together using a trusty tube of PritStick 😅 not entirely sure how long it’ll stay in one piece but IT WORKS and that’s the important thing. My plan is to learn how to stitch bind it eventually but for now I shall simply bask in the perfectly imperfect.

The goal will be to create a few copies of different themes - any you’d like to see? Monsters of the skies? Villains? Heroes? Mundane objects? Let me know what you like the sound of x

Been having an awful lot of fun playing around with product ideas with the new (very old 1970’s) typewriter. And now we’ve entered the ‘ber months, I want to focus on the stuff you’d actually like to buy - maybe as Christmas presents, or a treat for yourself.

So I’d like your help 🆘

I’d love to know if any of these new products appeal to you - or if you have ideas for others. I’m all ears 👂

1. A hand-typed speech from a wedding or important occasion with the person(s) star sign or favourite constellation painted over the top

2. Personalised hanging Christmas tree decorations

3. A themed collection of typed stories about constellations including hand-painted artwork

4. Celestial hand-painted mount surrounding the text of your choosing

I put my nan’s old typewriter to use today 🤩

Slightly obsessed with these new miniatures. Each constellation is hand-painted using watercolour and framed in a vintage brass picture frame. Just imagine how cute they’d look on a Christmas tree 🎄 Sorry, is it too early to mention the C-word? 😬
