🐾 Introducing Mabel… 🐾

Meet Mabel, my mum’s gorgeous little Cockapoo puppy and the newest — and probably cutest — member of The Lemon Frog Shop team! ✨

She’s already proving to be a very important part of the team… chief basket inspector, vintage stock supervisor, and expert in making sure absolutely nothing gets past her!

We’re not quite sure how much actual work she’ll be doing, but she’s definitely got the cute department covered!

We’re looking forward to watching her grow up around The Lemon Frog Shop and all our wonderful vintage treasures. Who knows, she might even become our official shop mascot! ✨️

Recently sourced vintage French proving baskets each beautifully aged and complete with their original linings.

There’s something so evocative about these old baking pieces — the scent of warm bread, flour dusted across wooden worktops, linen, fresh coffee, and the comforting aroma of a French rustic kitchen coming to life.

Cosy corner of The Lemon Frog Shop... 🌿

Well, it’s been a tad stressful, but we’re so nearly there… although that might depend on whether I can stop “faffing” around!

The cabin is nearly finished, we’ve had a lovely restock and, of course, there are lots of newly sourced vintage finds waiting to be discovered. 🤎

We’ll be open by appointment this weekend, so if you’d like to come and have a wander around, just pop us a message to book a viewing.

We still have the other cabin to tackle… but that’s tomorrow’s job! For tonight, it’s time for a well-earned glass of w**e and a charcuterie board. 🍷🧀

It’s been a busy couple of days clearing, rearranging, and restocking the shop — and we’re only halfway through the first cabin!

But we’re very happy with how it’s coming together so far.

There’s something rather lovely about seeing all those carefully sourced vintage treasures gathered together, ready to find their forever homes. 🤎

✨ Beautiful Spanish Terracotta Glazed Pots ✨

There’s something wonderfully timeless about these beautiful Spanish terracotta pots, with their warm, earthy tones, soft white glaze, and wonderfully weathered finish. 🤎

Traditionally, large terracotta vessels like these were used throughout Spain for storing and transporting everyday staples such as olive oil, w**e, water, and other provisions.

Their thick, handmade terracotta walls helped keep contents cool, while the generous handles made them easier to move.

Today, they make gorgeous decorative pieces in their own right. 🌿 Use them as statement vessels, filled with dried flowers or branches, beside a fireplace, in a rustic kitchen, or simply displayed as beautiful pieces of old-world character.

Each one has its own shape, marks, and imperfections — the very things that make old pottery so special.

🍂 Autumn has arrived at Lemon Frog HQ 🍂

There’s something rather magical about this time of year — when the landscape begins to change colour, the hedgerows are full of berries, and nature puts on one last spectacular show before winter. 🧡🌿

And what better way to bring a little of that autumnal beauty indoors than with this unusual vintage French confit pot? 🤎

We absolutely love its wonderfully rustic two-tone finish, with a warm terracotta base, soft aged cream glaze, and those beautiful signs of time and use that make vintage pieces so special.

The chunky handles and subtle ribbed detailing add even more character.

Home, happy and very, very weary! 💚

What a wonderful day at Berkhamsted Antiques & Vintage Market! ✨

The sun was shining, the market was buzzing , and it was so lovely seeing happy customers heading home with their new vintage treasures.

And the highlight?

Watching our gorgeous antique French post cart head off to its new home! 💚

We’re always a little bit sad to see special pieces leave us, but knowing they’ve found the perfect new home makes it all worthwhile.
