We cant believe that we have been closed for 12 days now. Thank you so much to all our customers. Not only your custom, but you goodwill going forward.

***Update***

There have been a lot of rumours regarding the future of the store. We own the building and unknown to many live above. We have toyed with selling it but have not been happy or comfortable with what may replace the business. This town means so much to us and we still want to be a large part of it.
Please be assured that there is no other person/company involved. We will be running the new business ourselves we are investing our own money and hope to open a wine bar with a twist - comfortable, friendly and being fronted by the licensees.

We are currently working very hard and hope you love what we want to bring to the town.

Don't forget our last day is this sunday. We wont be open until 9am in the morning but we do still have lots of Soft toys wanting a warm home and lots of love. If you're out and about please pop in to grab a bargain!

Well, that's it - the end of an era.... Kevin and I have just delivered our last paper.

We have now passed our paper deliveries on to Roy. Roy is based at Denby Dale News Ltd, 337-339 Wakefield Road, Denby Dale. HD8 8RT. Tel 01484 863598. He has been in the trade since 2004 and we have had many dealings with him, hence why we felt he would be best to continue these rounds. He is also retaining our delivery staff.

Roy will commence tomorrow, Sunday 5th March to ensure continuity.

The shop will remain open this week to aid payment of paper accounts.

As we are not receiving papers this week we will be opening later. Sunday 5th March at 9am and Monday 6th March to Sunday 12th March at 8am.

We are still running our half price sale during our final week and have loads of wedding / anniversary and new born cards available so if you have any of these occasions on the horizon come and grab a bargain!

Finally, Kevin and I would like to thank everyone for their support and friendship over the years!

Absolutely fuming!!! Last night Kevin forgot to bring our playmobil Policeman in - not very surprising with the amount of work we have to do over the next month. He opened the shop in the early hours to discover that some idiot had taken great please in absolutely destroying him. Thank you so much. Sorry to those of you who have shown an interest in buying him - that person has taken that option away!

To all our lovely newspaper customers... We are currently on the phone trying to establish when the papers will be delivered to us. Yet again, there have been no newspapers delivered to Holmfirth or surrounding areas as of 7.50am. Please be assured we are doing our best to resolve this and as soon as we know anymore / expected time of arrival we will update you

Just an apology to all our customers,

Unfortunately this morning at 5am Kevin was confronted by a masked person and was again robbed in the shop. As a result the shop under police guard and we are unable to deliver any papers or let anyone into the shop. We apologise for any inconvenience and hope you will bear with us.
