🚗 Hollowgate Reopening Update! 🚗
​Great news for Holmfirth residents and business owners! The Holmfirth Town Centre Access Plan (HTCAP) has reached a major milestone.
​The Headlines:
​Hollowgate Reopening: Hollowgate will officially reopen to vehicular traffic THIS EVENING (Friday, 17th April).
​Priority System: Traffic will return to the priority movement system, which is the permanent plan for the area moving forward.
​What’s left to do?
While the road is open, Phase 2 isn't quite 100% finished. Keep an eye out for these final touches:
​Resurfacing: Night works are scheduled for 13th – 22nd May (covering about 35m near the new bridge).
​Finishing touches: Paving around the bridge area and final road markings/lining.
​What’s next?
✅ Phase 1: (Victoria St, Town Gate, Huddersfield Rd) is Complete.
⏳ Phase 2: (Hollowgate) is Nearing completion.
🚧 Phase 3: (Car Park / Market Square) is Up next! Dates for this final phase will be confirmed once Phase 2 is fully wrapped up.
​The team has committed to minimal disruption and will provide at least 10 working days' notice for any future temporary traffic management.
​Thanks for your patience while these improvements to our town centre take shape! 🛠️🏘️
