What you’ll be doing

We have a large pile of donated goods that needs sorting, and every pair of hands will make a real difference.

Who can take part?

You don't need any previous experience in retail or sorting donations. A staff member will be on hand throughout the session to explain the tasks, answer questions and provide support. Whether you already volunteer with us, work for us, want to help for just one day, or are looking for a practical team-building volunteering activity, you will be very welcome.

Where?
Brighouse, HD6 1NG (Just opposite Royd Cafe, blue double gates)
Plenty of parking available

👗 An important update about clothing donations 👕

A huge thank you to everyone who donates to our charity shops. Your generosity helps us raise vital funds and makes a real difference.

Due to changes in regulations in the textile recycling market, we're no longer able to accept items that aren't suitable for resale.

In the past, damaged items such as ripped, stained or heavily worn clothing could still generate a small income through textile recycling - unfortunately, we're unable to do this anymore. We'll now have to pay to dispose of these items, meaning less money goes towards supporting our charity.

We’re no longer able to accept bed sheets, broken or damaged bric-a-brac, or stained or damaged clothing.

Thank you for helping us make every donation count by helping us reduce waste, keep our disposal costs down and make sure as much money as possible goes towards supporting local families and children.

This week, two of the young people we support, Macey and Anayah, spent the day at Hollingworth Lake with our nurses, Emily and Katie. They fed the ducks before enjoying a picnic at the lakeside!

It’s great to be able to provide day trips like these for the children we care for - which we couldn’t do without your support, thank you.

Our shops are more than just places to make a donation or find a bargain - they’re places where people can build careers, volunteer, and help support our cause. Every pound of profit generated in our shops helps us provide vital support to children and families across West Yorkshire.

As assistant manager in one of our shops, you’ll work closely with the shop manager to achieve profit targets by driving sales, managing costs, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience at all times.

As one of our retail van drivers, you’ll help collect and deliver furniture and other large donated items to and from the shops,

Customer service is key in both these roles, so if you want to help our customers make a real and lasting difference to the local families we support, please apply now!
