It's blimmin market day! Yay!

We'll be set up and ready for you at 10:00. Don't forget to grab a few pictures whilst you're here as we're giving away £125 in HSM vouchers for the best market moments.

FANCY A SPOT IN HOLT IN 2027?

Applications for all 2027 markets open on Monday.

Our Expression of Interest form for new traders is live from 6am on Monday 7th September until 5pm on Monday 21st September. Link in bio from Monday morning.

Once it closes, every Expression of Interest gets properly read and considered as part of our 2027 curation, alongside submissions from our existing traders.

Two weeks, one form. If you have been thinking about it, this is the bit where you stop thinking about it! Share far and wide, we want EVERYONE to know!

Just one more cheeky maker spotlight before some announcements later...

So, enter Sapphire Frills. One of those makers you can spot from a good distance, and one you'll struggle to walk past.

Sapphire started the business in 2019 and now runs it with a small team from their Norfolk studio. Every piece begins as one of her own hand drawn sketches before it becomes something you can actually wear... which is why nothing on the stall looks like anything else.

Acrylic, hand painted polymer clay, resin and wood. Made in small batches, painted and finished by hand, so the stall looks different every time. Hypoallergenic stainless steel fixings too, for anyone who has given up on earrings entirely.

Earrings, necklaces, brooches, claw clips. Something for you, and quite possibly something for the person you'd forgotten you needed a present for.

ALL THE COLOURS OF THE RAINBOW 🌈

One thing Holt Sunday Market never struggles with is bringing a bit of colour to the streets. Between the artwork, candles, clothing, ceramics, snacks and all manner of glorious bits and bobs you didn't know you needed... August was looking particularly vibrant.

Basically, if you needed proof that independent makers and traders do it better, this would be it. Under gazebo and throughout the town centre.

Welcome to September, pinch punch and all that jazz!

We'll be back this Sunday 10:00-15:00 with all the usual suspects and some new ones too. Also, and not wanting to call this too early but, the weather looks pretty good, which is always a welcome relief as we exit the official summer markets.

Have a swipe these snaps are from the last 3 years. Nice moments, people having a lovely old browse and sun shining. Lully jubbly.

Who can come to Holt Sunday Market?.. everyone, obvs!

Prams and walking sticks. First timers and people who've been coming since the very first. The ones who arrive with a lis and the ones who arrive with no plan and somehow leave with a lamp. Dogs, obviously, please bring your own and somebody else's... Teenagers who made it very clear they didn't want to come, then spend forty minutes at one stall and spend all of this month's and next month's allowance.

There's no dress code, no minimum spend and no right way to do a Sunday in Holt. Come and buy nothing. Have a coffee, do a lap, go home. That's a perfectly good market day and we'd still count it as a win.

Everybody needs a bit of PukkaJunk in their life...

Amongst satchels, trays and other leather goods, Paul makes Midori style notebooks... a leather cover held shut with elastics, taking refillable paper inserts, so you fill one up, swap it out and keep the cover. None of the leather is new either, all reclaimed, cut down and stitched into something that improves the more you batter it. Real life up-cycling where the outcome is considerably more exciting than where it started!

Go and ask him where the leather came from... he'll tell you in detail you didn't know you wanted, but it'll make your notebook all the more special.
