π Swarm season is officially upon us! π
Over the coming months, you may spot large clusters of bees gathering on branches, in hedges, on fences, or even on garden furniture!
The start of a honey bee swarm can be extremely dramatic involving many thousands of bees in a large noisy cloud. However, they normally settle into a cluster somewhere within 30 minutes.
Swarming is a completely natural part of a honey bee colonyβs life cycle, and despite appearances, swarm bees are often very calm because they are focused on the task at hand - finding a new home! ππ
If you do spot a swarm in the Holme or Colne Valley, feel free to contact Karl on 07796 418673 and he will come and sort it (unless its at the very top of a tall tree!)
