FINDING BEAUTY IN THE IMPERFECT - BEING A VIVAMK WORLD INFLUENCER

This was the message from Michael, the MD of VivaMK World, to all partners in the business earlier this week. It resonates deeply with me because this is how I choose to live my own life. In fact, in addition to my Christian faith, it is this exact mindset that keeps me going every day.

My life can feel very messy and imperfect, especially at the moment, when I don’t seem to stop and every day becomes a juggle of responsibilities, including caring for family members, working and completing various chores, whilst trying to keep myself and everyone around me afloat! Invariably, several balls 🎾 keep dropping (more like crashing to the ground😂) leaving unfinished tasks in their wake and revealing a life that appears from the outside as chaotic and neglected!😵‍💫

I was so very fortunate to have been selected as an ‘Influencer’ for VivaMK World last year. However, after a promising start and somehow being awarded the Rising Star Influencer of the Year Award last September, my life seemed to become increasingly messy and overwhelming. Distractions causing interruptions to my momentum, including worrying about my Mum and other family members, combined with my own overwhelmed mind trying to navigate various mid-life changes seemed to culminate in a derailing of plans and erratic progress.

It is OK and important to take time out to look after yourself or others, but it is still crucial to keep finding and holding onto the beautiful things in life that are lurking in the rubble. The obvious beautiful things are my relationship with God, my family and friends (including our precious cats Ziggy and Spice). However, there are many other treasures to be found if we look. VivaMK World is one such beautiful treasure in my life and having the opportunity to continue as an influencer is an enormous privilege, which keeps me smiling 🙂.

One of the many praiseworthy attributes of the company is their ability to see through the mess and imperfections in people (especially their own partners) and find the beautiful, then uplift and encourage those people to be the very best versions of themselves. Whatever mess I encounter in this world, I know for sure that VivaMK World will always remain a shining light for which I am very grateful. 🙂💡💡💡🌈🌸♥️

That was the plan, but the car park was closed so I had to reschedule! However, I really didn’t want to turn up to my eye test with murky glasses. I also had an old pair I was planning to give away for charity, but they looked pretty filthy too! Our 100ml bottle of Spectacle Sparkle came to the rescue 🙂. Despite the scorching heat this weekend, I did lots of organising at home. The dull plastic box on our landing windowsill that we use to store everything we need for emptying our cat litter trays was looking rather untidy! 🌅🌳🌸FRAGRANCE, FORESTS, FLOWERS, FIERY SKIES & FACIAL CREAM🌸🌳🌅

I’m on a big mental health boost this week, which is apt seeing as it is Mental Health Awareness Week. On Sunday and after work on Monday, my mood wasn’t too bright, so I forced myself to get out amongst the beauty of nature.🍃

The forest around Ewloe Castle in North Wales was so tranquil and the sunset near New Brighton was a joy to behold. Both were so uplifting.🙂

I took my VivaMK World Ultra Pro Facial Cream (that contains moisturising hyaluronic acid and vegan squalene) for a photoshoot in the forest. Being creative with photos and in other ways always lifts my mood too. 🙂 I’d forgotten just how much I love the rose, geranium and lavender essential oil fragrance. As I lifted the lid, I was cocooned in a feast of the senses, the calming spa-like aroma from the cream, the forest sounds of birds singing, with the evening sun illuminating the trees and moss surrounding me. 🌳🦅🍃🥀☀️🌅♥️.

I can’t believe that last week I was standing in front of this stunning waterfall in Kefalonia! It wasn’t all without mishaps as I managed to slip in the mud and fall on my decent!😂 The expedition was still worth it, though, because the waterfall and surroundings were such beautiful sights.♥️ We are very fortunate that we have so many places of natural beauty in this world. However, we really must protect the planet so that we can preserve these for generations to come.
