Latest update on Derek's recovery from surgery.
He has been to see the surgeon and he is happy with his progress. He has been taken off of some of the tablets and is now allowed to start lifting again as long as he takes it slowly. Brighton hospital has now transferred his care back to Eastbourne DGH where he will be starting cardio rehab next week. That should slowly start to rebuild his strength.
We will continue opening the shop on Friday and Saturday, 8.30 to 12.30, until further notice.
It's still a slow process but we are getting there.

Update, Derek Roberts recovery is going well. Still not allowed to lift anything heavy but starting to get around better and able to do more things himself.
As he has to do a bit of exercise each day, we have decided to reopen the shop as from tomorrow (Friday).
We will be open Friday and Saturday, 8.30 to 12.30. and see how it goes.

Sorry for the delay in updates but it's been a bit hectic. Derek Roberts has now had his operation, new tissue heart valve and a single bypass, and is making good progress in his recovery. To the point that 4 day's after the operation he was sent home. It was a very nervous first night at home but we got through it.
He is doing well and glad to be home.
Now for the road to recover.

Next update on Derek Roberts . He has now recovered from COVID. Now waiting for some dental work before he is transferred to Brighton. Apparently any possible dental infection could cause a problem with the heart recovery. Hopefully it will be done soon.

Update on Derek Roberts , he is still in Eastbourne DGH waiting for a slot to become available in Brighton to do the heart op. In the meantime he has managed to get COVID while in hospital. It is not affecting him that much so it's not too bad. Hoping for better news soon.

Just to let you all know, we are temporarily closed. Derek Roberts is in hospital. He collapsed on Thursday and is now waiting to be transferred to Brighton hospital for a heart valve replacement. Hopefully they can do it soon and he can start the road to recover. I will update more as soon as I know.

Hi. Sad news I'm afraid. Polly, our dog, had developed a heart problem and the vets did all they could for her. Unfortunately to no avail so today we had to make the decision to let her go. She is now at rest. Derek and Jacqui 😢😢😢

Just to let you know, we will be open tomorrow (Christmas eve) from 9 till 1.
We still have a few fresh wreaths in stock plus the usual Christmas items, wild bird food, logs, kindling etc. We will then open as usual on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th , 9 till 1.
