Right thenβ¦ after a lot of thought, Iβm putting this out there π
Horbury Fisheries is potentially up for sale as a going concern. ππ
Iβm in no mad rush and Iβm certainly not shutting the doors, but Iβm 50 soon (which doesnβt seem right π) and Iβve got a new career Iβd like to pursue β something thatβs very close to my heart.
I refurbished and reopened Horbury Fisheries back in 2019, and weβve been through a fair bit since! Weβve survived sub-zero winters and βThe Beast from the Eastβ βοΈ, made it through a global pandemic π· and now weβre sweating our way through consecutive cracking hot summers! π₯΅π
Over the years, me and my team have built up a really strong, loyal regular trade, with the business continuing to grow year on year. Thereβs also plenty of scope for someone to take it further by opening more hours and developing the business.
I think it would suit a working couple, family or someone looking to take on an established little business rather than starting from scratch.
Iβm not looking to make a fortune from it. Iβd simply like to recoup some of the investment, time and graft Iβve put in over the years, and Iβd much rather see it go to someone who wants to carry it on and make a success of it.
One of the main reasons I started the business in the first place was to create something that would allow me to spend more time with my children, and thankfully we managed to do exactly that. β€οΈ
And before everyone starts messaging me asking when weβre closingβ¦ weβre not! π
Iβm still here, still frying, and still running the shop as normal. This is just me putting the feelers out and seeing whether the right person might be interested. If they are, we can have a chat and take it from there.
If youβre genuinely interested and would like more information, drop me an email:

Iβd appreciate it if you could share this with anyone you think might be interested.
Cheers,
Andy xx ππ
