Handcrafted Shamanic Medicine Drums
Each of my shamanic medicine drums is lovingly created through sacred ceremony, prayer, and deep listening. These are not simply instruments; they are spiritual companions, carrying the heartbeat of Mother Earth and the wisdom of the natural world.
The hides used in my drums are ethically sourced within the UK and are treated with the utmost respect and gratitude throughout the entire drum-birthing process. Before a skin is chosen, I enter sacred space to honour the spirit of the deer, offering thanks for its gift and seeking consent for its transformation into a medicine drum. This ceremony acknowledges the life that was lived and the sacred purpose that continues through the drum.
Following the teachings of Stacy Keast, every skin is approached with reverence and care. The hides are energetically cleansed, and any residual trauma is lovingly cleared before the drum-making begins. This allows the drum to emerge carrying a clear, balanced, and harmonious energy, ready to support healing, ceremony, journeying, and personal transformation.
Each drum is handcrafted individually, allowing its own spirit and character to guide the process. No two drums are ever the same. Crystals, colours, and sacred intentions may be incorporated as guided, creating a truly unique medicine ally.
The accompanying beaters are also handmade using sustainable wood and felt, chosen with care to honour the natural materials from which they are crafted.
From the first prayer to the final blessing, every drum is birthed in a sacred container of gratitude, respect, and ceremony. My intention is to create drums that carry a strong, clear voice and become trusted companions for those walking a spiritual path, holding circles, facilitating healing, or simply reconnecting with the rhythm of their own heart.
βA drum is born not through craftsmanship alone, but through relationship, ceremony, gratitude, and spirit.β
