Our Garden Market is now underway at Number Nine, The Marketplace until 3pm.

Come and browse beautiful handcrafted ceramics from The Leven Pottery Shed, discover chilli plants already laden with fruit, gorgeous ferns, planty gifts and quality plant care products from Mr Botany, who'll also be on hand with his popular houseplant repotting service.

You'll also find our monthly Plant Swop and plenty of inspiration from our wonderful local artisan community.

Join us this Saturday for our Artisan Garden Market!

We're looking forward to welcoming you to our monthly Artisan Garden Market this Saturday 1 August, 10am to 3pm, in the garden at Number Nine, The Marketplace.

Whether you're searching for something special for your home or garden, or simply fancy a relaxing browse, there's plenty to discover.

🌶️ Mr Botany will be on hand with his popular houseplant repotting service, helping to give your plants a new lease of life. He'll also have a fantastic selection of chilli plants already bursting with chillies for just £3 each, alongside beautiful ferns, propagation plants, planty gifts and quality plant care products. Don’t forget our plant swop too - bring a plant and take a plant (or two!).

🏺 We're also delighted to welcome back Sarah from The Leven Pottery Shed, who'll be showcasing a gorgeous new collection of handcrafted ceramics. Discover beautiful bee feeding stations, plant pots, tealight holders, ceramic hangers and many more unique pieces, all lovingly handmade and full of character. The perfect opportunity to get some early gifts…..

Take your time to browse, chat and enjoy a relaxed morning supporting independent artists, designers and creatives from our wonderful artisan community both inside and outside Number Nine.

Date for your diary - great night out AND supporting the fundraising for the Phase 2 Starfish Galaxy Sculpture trail. The bar will be open at at the Floral Hall

🧩 THIS FRIDAY — Hornsea's Jigsaw Night!
Grab your team and get puzzling. The Hornsea Collective is taking over the Floral Hall for a proper feel-good evening of 500-piece jigsaws, kindly donated by some brilliant local jigsaw enthusiasts. Prize for the fastest to complete it and a runner up prize picked randomly from all those that complete it on the evening (feel free to take it home to complete if you don't but you might want to bring a jigsaw roll or board to save breaking it up!)

Applications are now open for the fourth Hornsea Ceramics Festival, taking place on 24 & 25 April 2027.

Hosted in partnership between Number Nine, The Marketplace and Hornsea Museum, the festival will once again celebrate Hornsea's rich pottery heritage while championing contemporary ceramic artists and makers from across the region and beyond.

For 2027, we're expanding the festival experience with talks, demonstrations, exhibitions and markets taking place across multiple venues throughout Hornsea, creating an inspiring weekend dedicated to ceramics, creativity and community.

Whether you create functional pottery, sculpture, decorative ceramics or experimental clay work, we'd love to hear from you.

We're delighted to share that Sarah from The Leven Pottery Shed will be joining us at our Garden Market this Saturday at Number Nine, The Marketplace.

Sarah creates a wonderful collection of handcrafted ceramics full of character and charm.
