Happy Friday! Another week another WIP. This ones been through the wringer - I’ll tell you!
🔹Pattern change
🔹Colour change
🔹 Style change
But I’m pleased to say I’ve got there and work is well underway on my lovely dress.
Another string under the belt . Working downwards instead of across enables increases to be handled easier.
Creating alternating panels of pattern and full and trebles creates a pleated look but also allows you more control of your increases...or so I think.
Quite a way to go yet but with the weekend here now I’m now able to crack on.
On a plus note I’ve managed to get hold of some elastic for my bras and vests today so work will continue if them once that comes.
Feeling pretty accomplished today!

Orange is the colour of this week. Wonder if you choose your colours according to your mood?
I’ve had the urge to make a dress this time and using my trusty drops patterns here is where I’m up to... or was up to on Monday...lots more added to it since, but that’s for another day!

A year ago I made this top and this weekend I decided to use it as a vest.

I sewed in the ends. Added some straps. Sewed the seam and put her on.
Made from fine cotton this is so comfy against my skin and thin enough to be worn as a vest under tops. Love it!

Batten down the hatches!! 🌪Another blustery day here in Hornsea. 🌬🌬
This is what I’ve been up to last week - this wonderfully colourful skirt.
I had absolutely no idea how this would turn out I just picked 5 colours and went with it.
Ever so pleased and reminds me of an 80’s shell suit in all its brightness!!
Ends to sew in and elastic band to add and she’s all ready.

I love my pjs and at home I live in them all day so lockdown has been amazing.
It has also meant no bras which I have completely fallen in love with and so this weekend I’ve made my own crochet lingerie ready for when we go back to normal. Keeping covered but feeling free at the same time!
Like a bra but it will be elasticated and go over the head like a crop (I hope). Not finished yet - the straps need attaching to the back and I’ve ordered the elastic....so we’ll see if it works out according to plan!!

Here’s another skirt I managed to finish with all this extra time on my hands.
I’ve still got to see the ends in and make some pockets but the holes are there ready for them.
Love how comfortable the elasticated waist makes it - perfect to disguise my lockdown podge!!
