Bringing this old gal back to life.

Came in in really rough condition, but you could tell it was worth some time.

Removed the dodgy old sound hole rosette and the pick guard. New ones on order.

Gave the full guitar a rub down to remove any old nasty finish. Drop filled a few of the minor dings and dents, as well as giving her a fret dress.

I’m going to replace the nut and the saddle, and I think I’m going to pull all of the frets and completely replace them.

She has a great fundamental tone, so I think it’s going to be great fun bring her all the way back. 👍👌

Given the full SSG treatment:

Neck alignment

Fret polish

Neck oil

Fretboard oil

Full body polish and buff.

You’d be hard pressed to find one as clean as this, especially considering it’s 25 years old ( almost vintage…LOL )

I can’t think of anything you can buy new that would even come close to the quality of this beautiful bass for the money.

This is a highly underrated bass. The NS2002 series is still a great quality instrument with top quality electronics. EMG Hz passive SSD pickups make this bass sound incredible

The neck is straight with a rosewood fretboard, 24 frets with dot inlays. The neck has a very large radius and is very thick and even all the way to the nut.

Rebuild and setup.

These bases are absolutely amazing, especially for the price. Fitted with Monorail individual bridges, allowing for super acurate adjustment - Neutrick locking jack - Bartolini pickups working in conjunction with an 18v preamp. The controls are - individual volume for each pickup, bass, mid and treble. The mid control also has a frequency sweep using the concentric pot.

The tones you can get out of this beast are truly amazing. A genuine “get any sound” beauty.

You don’t want to let this get away.

Working on this neck at present.

Reamed the tuning peg holes to accept new tuners. Cleaned and polished the frets and dressed the ends.

One or two minor dents on the back from being leaned up against a table, or the like. Will get rid of them and then it will be time to key the existing paintwork ready for a refinish.

She is going to be EPIC.
