"Some of my favourite memories growing up have been afternoons at The Kirkwood charity shop. My time there was always filled with great experiences."

What started as volunteering towards a Duke of Edinburgh Award became nearly five years of learning, friendship and personal growth for Rhianna.

Now, she's preparing to begin a corporate degree apprenticeship, and she credits her time with The Kirkwood, helping her to develop her confidence, skills and experience to take that next step.

We're incredibly proud of everything Rhianna has achieved and can't wait to see what the future holds.

Today, we say our final goodbyes to Ian, a truly vibrant spirit on our team. ✨

He wasn’t just a volunteer; he was an absolute character who brought so much life, laughter, and personality to everything he did.

We are thinking of his family and friends today as they celebrate his life. Thank you, Ian, for your dedication and for always keeping us smiling.

You leave a space that cannot be filled, and you will be deeply missed. Rest in peace. 🕊️

The Kirkwood Starlight Walk 2026 takes place on Saturday 4 July 2026 at the Accu Stadium (formerly John Smith's Stadium) in Huddersfield. 🌟⭐️💫

Start Time: The walk officially sets off at 10:00 PM as darkness falls.🌙

Route Options: Participants can choose between a gentle 3-mile stroll, a 6-mile route, or a more challenging 10-mile walk.🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️
