The stock room nightmare continues. Right now I am trying to find four particular violins. Three still to find. The floor of the stock room is covered with rubbish - and stock that was supposedly lost (one bow broken so far, goodness knows what else there is). Getting beyond the front of the stock room involved moving a table out of the way. I have no idea where I am going to put it but back in the stock room is not an option. Stock and rubbish all over the landing. And then I overbalanced - or leaned back forgetting that the door is broken - against the office door. The door flew open of course. Fell backwards, banged my head against a desk, and I think it must have taken me about 45 minutes to get up.

Getting up involves turning over into prostrate position, from which I can get up into a kneeling position easily enough, but then I need to be at something of an appropriate height to get myself up and that was the issue. And of course it hurts, the floor is wood and there are bits of cat litter scattered everywhere. Ended up shuffling to the banister rails thinking perhaps those would work but they didn't, I have to actually be able to lean on something not just pull. So then shuffled back into the office. The fridge was too high to use and shuffling further was difficult Couldn't turn to kneeling position from sitting so had to throw myself prostrate again (I can't think why I don't do this more often in worship....) then to kneeling then shuffling to the table and finally up. Total distance covered perhaps 12 feet. Still, I am very pleased to say that no bad language came out of my mouth. Miracles still happen.

Still have all the stuff to try to put somewhere so that I can try again tomorrow. Which is later than I need to be posting it but I just can't face going in for another half an hour now and I have to go out after that to see a customer. And it is going to take me some time to put the stuff somewhere (presumably in the bedroom, I have no better ideas). I suppose at least now I know how to get up if it happens again.

Apologies to everyone waiting for deliveries. We have floods up here and Parcelforce have suspended collections but it should be back to normal (and collection is booked) for Monday.

To add to the difficulties, my packer and stock room person appears to have left without notice which leaves me in the position of having to get things out myself, and this is very difficult for me due to my disability. A quick glance at the picture will make the situation clear! Until I can get a new employee this will be ongoing but I am making some progress. Please bear with me, the delays should not be very long.

Off to Inverurie to deliver a double bass. Gliga Gama. This has taken EIGHT MONTHS to arrive - yes if you want a Gliga you need to think ahead! (fortunately it isn't usually 8 months!)
