🎣 The final mix – and why it needs to work just right!

In this final part, Alex Bates from Tackle & Bates explains exactly what he wants from his Van den Eynde groundbait mix on the 100ft River.

The key is not having particles that are too big. Alex wants the mix to carry bait downstream, allowing the fish to sit back and feed confidently over the groundbait and particles.

Rather than catching right at the top of the peg, he’s looking to settle the fish slightly downstream – around the 9 o’clock position – and keep them feeding exactly where he wants them.

It’s all about mixing the groundbait correctly so it carries the bait, controls where it settles and creates a concentrated feeding area. 👌

To kick the session off, Alex is going in with five balls of groundbait to establish the swim and get those roach feeding. 🎯🎣

Keep an eye out for the fulll length video out mid October ! 👀🎥
