A farm shop of plenty, offering local produce, essentials & harder to find ingredients.

Our name "Eggs to Apples" originates from the Latin proverb "Ab ova usque ad mala", from egg to apple, meaning from the start of a meal to the finish or generally, from the start to the finish of anything. In true Latin style, food is central to everything, and it is thought that continental Europeans in Roman times would begin their meal with an egg and finish with an apple: hence Eggs to Apples.

This phrase is central to our aim, to provide you and your fellow food lovers with everything you need from the beginning to the end of your meal, all your meals, every day of the week.

English Wine Week is the perfect opportunity to showcase growers and the best local English wines.

✨️Hidden Spring ✨️

Situated on a 23 acre small-holding in Horam, just outside Heathfield, in the heart of East Sussex.

The vineyard was originally established in 1986 and experienced many years of successful, high-quality wine production, providing award-winning wines across the country.

In 2015 the vineyard was expanded, removing the remains of a campsite established in 2000, and planting over 24,000 vines of 5 different varieties across 13 acres .

Blanc de Noirs, notes of fresh raspberry and Morello cherry work alongside developed flavours of pastry and toasted almonds which harmoniously round off this deliciously balanced wine.

Classic Cuvée, an explosion of lemon and lime, a hint of Apple Danish and aromas of raspberry excite the nose and palate. The rich texture, crisp fruit and a delicious toasty finish make this a real classic.

Winner of the Independent English Wine Awards: Gold 2024.

Chardonnay, packed full of tropical fruit with a floral honeysuckle nose and a flinty minerality. Aromas of pear and citrus fruit work harmoniously with flavours of pear, apricot, honey and grapefruit, a beautiful creamy complexity with an exuberant finish.

✨️ There's an Oxney for everyone. ✨️

Oxney is a local organic winemaker near Rye, producing both still and sparkling organic wines.

The wine is produced using low intervention and sustainable methods. The 35 acres of vines produce 20% of all organic grapes grown in the UK.

In store, you'll find the invitingly pale pink Rose 2022, with aromas of lemons, cranberries, rhubarb, and raspberries.
Chardonnay 2022, fresh and bright on the nose and mouth, with lemon, citrus zest, and a lovely savoury salinity. Both are available alongside the Woodhouse pinot, a light and fruity red with lovely complexities and exceedingly moreish!!

But we mustn't forget the organic sparkling wines produced on the Oxney Estate. Made for everyday special occasions, nothing beats bubbles and a great pop!!! 🍾
