💙 🤍🩵 When fabric becomes part of your story…

There’s something incredibly special about making your own clothes. Not simply choosing the style, fit and fabric, but creating a garment that can hold memories, celebrate our roots and tell a story that is uniquely ours.

We absolutely loved seeing this beautiful make by Rosa Luparia • SEWING in our Periwinkle Heirloom Silk Mix Sandwashed Soft Satin Twill — and even more so when we read the story behind it. 🥰

For her, the fabric spoke to her immediately.

In her own words:

“Today, I walk these streets wearing a dress I made with my own hands. A dress inspired by the deep blue patterns of my hometown’s traditional ceramics, by a beauty that had always been here, even when I couldn’t see it. Our roots aren’t just the places we come from. They are the stories, lessons and threads we collect along the way, becoming part of who we are.
My story with sewing also began in my hometown, where as a child I was taught to cross stitch by my Grandmother, and she made beautiful clothes for me. Today, I continue to sew my own stories and without even realising it, I’m still sewing with a little piece of her.” 💙🤍🩵
