I was interviewed for Look North on Thursday - I shared some pretty brutal statistics as to where we’re currently at.
It’s not good…
I am yet to meet anyone who wanted this change but here we are.
I don’t know what the future holds, but I do know that we’ll continue to fight our hardest to be here.

Ultimately all the businesses in the town really do need you more than they ever have.

If you can spare a few minutes to complete the questionnaire about how the changes have impacted your shopping habits it would be hugely appreciated. ⬇️

That’s us signing off on another spectacular festive season!

As always, Thank you so so much for all of your support! We’ve had our busiest Christmas ever and we’re so grateful that you continue to shop independently and keep our high street alive and thriving!

Wishing you all a very happy Christmas and a healthy and peaceful new year!

See you at 10am on the 3rd January

We’re now open 7 days a week until Christmas Eve!
Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm and Sunday 10am to 3pm

Get ready for some terrible Christmas singing, all the gift wrapping skills, twinkly lights galore and a sprinkling of festive stress from us girlies (mainly me) as we countdown to Christmas!

We might need an electrician on speed dial with all these lights this year 😂

When The Queen of Shops popped in….

(Shared these on stories on Friday but I wanted them on the grid permanently 😆)

There were two people that inspired me to start Nora’s all those years ago and this lady was one of them - her passion, campaigning and fight for independent retail on the high street was (and still is) unrivalled, so to finally meet her and for her to take the time to come in to Nora’s was a dream come true to say the least.

It’s not often you get to meet your idols, and definitely not often that they live up to the expectations that we inadvertently put on them. But I can confirm that this lady is as effervescent as you imagine, she’s genuine, engaging and just bloody lovely (and so damn cool 😎)

And yes, these photos will be framed and put on my wall…

Thank you again
