Our shop window has had a redo after the gorgeous William IV side table that was in it, found a new home.

I decided to go for a total change, filling it with lots of quirky vintage pieces including an 'Underwood' typewriter, a cased set of balance scales and a super pair of WWI trench art vases made from ammunition shells that have just come in.

And for the girls - I've found some more 1930s ceramics. I love items from this era - the vibrant colours and imaginative designs are so uplifting!

This gorgeous Victorian box has been sitting in our lounge for the past couple of months, while I debated whether or not to sell it, lol! I think the brass work is perhaps a later addition, but it's a very handsome piece. In the shop now, priced £145.

£5 each. I've just restocked with more Funko Pop heads - lots to choose from including Marvel characters (Venom, Avengers, Spiderman etc), DC (including DC Comic Bombshells), Freddy Funko, Independence Day, Blade Runner, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Batman, Matrix Aquaman, Justice League, 007 etc. All priced at just £5 each!

Available from 'Remains to be Seen", 24 East Street, Ilminster, TA19 0AJ (2 doors up from the Post Office). Usually open 9:30-4:30 Monday-Saturday but always best to phone in case of illness or emergency!

I managed to get into the shop today and changed one window display.

We have some lovely fresh stock in the shop this week including these two Lancashire spindle back chairs with rush seats priced at £45 each and a fab vintage ship diorama priced at £79.

Our garden pots always seem to be popular and we currently have a lovely pair on pedestal bases as well as a few chimney pots, which make great garden features!

Wow - I hadn't realised that they made some cold painted bronzes soooo small!! Dating to the early 1900s, this little rabbit was almost certainly made in Austria. Being so tiny, it is a marvel that it hasn't been lost in its 100+ years!!
Available in the shop now for £28.

These are a fantastic find with Christmas just around the corner! 'Thacker and Christmas' bottles with a Christmas pudding trademark!!

These antique bottles are known as 'Codd' bottles (named after the chap who patented the design, which cleverly used an internal glass marble and rubber ring to seal the contents). Children would often smash the empty bottles so they could play with the marbles!!

Photos of some of our new stock this week.

An African chip carved 'coconut shaver/husker' stool - we've not had one of these before.........and I'm so tempted to keep it lol!

I've also been lucky to acquire a superb collection of 'half dolls' - these little ceramic figures were very popular between 1900-1940s and were often made into pincushions or attached to voluminous skirts which covered all manner of household objects such as powder pots (or in my Nan's case, the telephone!). I can see why they are highly collected - they are all so different!

I've also re-stocked with more original Star Wars figures (late 1970s/early 1980s) - these would make grear Christmas presents for Star Wars fans!
