Pondering what to do in your garden this weekend? 🌿

It’s time to deadhead those geums! ✂️

These beautiful dusky pink flowers are brilliant for attracting pollinators, and their leafy growth can also provide cool, damp shelter for wildlife such as frogs. 🐸

The best part? If you remove the spent flowers after their first flush in late spring, you’ll often be rewarded with a second round of blooms right through summer. 🌸

Here’s a step-by-step guide to deadheading your geums and encouraging that second flush of flowers.

🌿Create Your Own Micro Pond🌿

Why not join us for National Children’s Gardening Week!

At Aqua Eden on the 29th of May, we are hosting a hands-on Micro Pond workshop. Whether you’re starting from scratch or upgrading an old container, we’ll help you build a thriving mini-ecosystem to take home!

Workshop Options:

👉 Full Kit (£150): Everything you need! Includes the pond basin, stones, wood, and a selection of aquatic plants.
👉 Materials Only (£90): Bring your own container (approx. 60cm) and we’ll provide the professional-grade materials and plants. Note: For biosecurity, please ensure your pond is completely empty and scrubbed clean of algae!
👉 Bringing the whole crew? Additional children can join a shared family pond for just £5 (covers snacks and drinks!).

What’s included:

✅ All materials (stone, wood, plants)
✅ Expert guidance
✅ Refreshments for all participants
