An authentic western store in the heart of Essex transpiring from almost 140 years of retail experience.

Patrick Green 1888 began as an undertakers, evolved into an ironmongers in 1910, modernised into a general store in the 1960’s and has since reinvented itself into a western emporium of cowboy lifestyle.

From bygone days of horse and cart outside the store (we have the photos), to having almost gone full circle back to that era by now living the cowboy lifestyle.

Generations of families have run and managed the store over the past 138 years all with the same resilience and determination that the Wild West built its reputation on.

The current custodians (Matt and Sarah) have a strong passion for country music and western culture, with an amazing back story to soon share with you all.

Running alongside The Country Café, the store offers a great selection of western apparel, with cowboy hats, boots, jeans, truckers and jewellery, from suppliers such as Stetson, Wrangler, Durango and American Hat Makers.

The store also enjoys the benefit of being inside one of the UK’s premier country music venues!

Where else can you get premium Western wear, country music and line dancing enjoyed with some great coffee or a glass of speciality bourbon from our bar, depending on what time of day you arrive!

Our line dancing this past Saturday night was amazing and you all did great. For those of you not on our Instagram, we will post some content up during the week on here.

We might only be open two days a week, but my lord we make the most of it!!

Back open tomorrow supplying y’all with quality western wear and the best coffee around, whilst we then spend our nights building our western community! Yeehaw 🤠

Surely this has to be the coolest western store in the UK right?

Plus the big man is on stage at Wembley Stadium this weekend, so come in tomorrow from 9am and grab that T-Shirt and trucker combo for your Luke Combs concert. 🧢 👕 🇺🇸

Plus, tomorrow night we see the fabulous here inside as our last gig of the summer, this weekends going to be mega!!
