🚛 WE’RE HIRING – HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER 🚛

📍 Based at Boyndie, Banff

We’re looking for an Experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join the Puffin Energy team.

The role mainly involves delivering biomass wood pellets to domestic and commercial customers across Scotland, using our tanker, tipper and specialist 8-wheel pellet blower vehicles.
There will also be occasional curtain-side pallet deliveries and collections.

✅ Category C / Class 2 licence required
✅ Driver CPC must be up to date
✅ Blower experience would be an advantage, but training can be provided
✅ Multi-drop experience preferred but not essential
✅ Class 1 / C+E would be useful but isn’t required

This is a hands-on delivery role, so applicants need to be comfortable with manual handling and, importantly, have a good attitude towards customers.

We're looking for an experienced driver to join our team in a permanent position. Alongside this, we also have availability for an additional casual driver who may be looking for fewer days each week or seasonal work during our busier winter months.

💷 Competitive wage depending on experience
🕒 Hours can vary depending on the applicant and business requirements. Saturdays and occasional nights out will be required during busy periods.

🔧 WE’RE HIRING – LABOURER 🔧 📍 Boyndie, Banff

We’re looking for a Labourer to join the team at our busy wood pellet production plant in Boyndie.

This is a permanent, full-time position, working:

⏰ Monday – Friday
🕢 7.30am – 5.30pm
➕ Overtime available

The role will involve general cleaning and maintenance around the factory, along with helping with the packaging and dispatch of our wood products.

Experience working in a production environment or driving a forklift, telehandler or tractor would be useful, but it’s not essential full training will be provided.

We’re mainly looking for someone who is:
✅ Reliable and hardworking
✅ Happy working as part of a team and independently
✅ Willing to learn
✅ Able to arrange their own transport to our Boyndie site

💷 Wage dependent on experience and discussed at interview.

We’re open at Insch for collections and currently have the following available:
🔥 Bagged pellets (heating & bedding)
🪵 Firewood
♨️ Briquettes

Please note that deliveries are being severely affected by the poor weather conditions. Our yard is Icey, so if you are planning to come for a collection, please let us know in advance.

We also recommend checking your stock levels and making sure you have enough to last at least 3 weeks.

If you already have an order in place, please keep us up to date regarding site access. If your stocks are running low, let us know as soon as possible so we can try to help.

Our final cut-off for delivery before New Year is TOMORROW – Friday 12th December.

We’ve opened extra blown delivery slots right through to Friday, but these are now very limited - so if you need topped up before the holidays, please get your order in as soon as you can. ⏰📦

If you miss the cut-off, don’t worry - we’ll still be supporting customers over the festive period. We just can’t guarantee exact delivery dates between Christmas and New Year.
