Hello everyone, just a little update.
Due to the rising costs of retaining Internet and a phone line at the shop for what is really 120 hours a year usage I've made the decision to cancel both.
This means the old direct dial number is no longer in use, I am however still trading 🙂

Hi all, and a warmer than expected welcome back from Akela's Den. What a scorcher 😃

An important message re Brownie uniform:
At the moment I don't have any of the new Girl Guiding Uniform in.
Althoug the current uniform will still be worn by many over the coming year or two until it is fully phased in I am aware that people may prefer the newer uniform.
If you're not fussed I am happy to supply what I have of the outgoing guiding uniforms at half price or thereabouts.

Hi all.
That time of *looks at the rain* summer where Akela's Den will be closing whilst the schools are off.
Tonight (1st July) being the last trading day before we start lashing on the waterproof sun protection cream.

Hi all.
Just a cheeky wee shout out.
My lovely wife, sister in law and I are taking part in the Big Hike next Saturday.
We will be covering the half marathon distance.

Barely a year goes by without these events feeling more important than ever. This year it is because our local Scout Group lost one of its leaders in February to cancer and Marianne was a big loss, felt hard by us all.
The hope is that very soon that key £ will be spent on research that will crack the nut.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Giving Page. Many of us have a story or two we could tell and that's too many stories. I hope that cancer is smashed soon and becomes quickly treatable from first diagnosis. Perhaps research will find a common cause or two that we could eliminate. Whilst we can...

Akela's Den will be open Wednesday 1st April then closed again over the Easter Break fortnight.

With it being 'in service' time at the schools I won't be open Wednesday evening. This will allow me some additional family time 😊

Hi all.
As we head towards Christmas and the whole festive period at pace please be advised of the Christmas trading dates.

Last day open will be Tuesday 16th December.
Akela's Den will reopen on Wednesday 7th for any urgent needs that week and back to normal Monday to Wednesday the following week.
