Skye has a lot of sass, but when Maisey our animal keeper hit the sweet spot; she was putty in her hand!

Rocket got really annoyed with Zeus splashing about and got really mad and stormed off in a huff!
Swipe across for a little bit of splashing (not a patch on what was going on earlier apparently!)

We’re Hiring – Seasonal Staff 16+

Looking for a summer job with lots of fresh air, variety and a fun team?

We’re looking for seasonal team members aged 16+ to join us at Farm Ness from now through the summer. This would also be a great job for anyone who is happy to work through until the end of October.

The job is varied and may include working in the gift shop, ticket office, making coffees, helping in the park, and manning activities such as the pedal go-karts and bouncy pillow.

You’ll need to be friendly, reliable, confident with customers and happy to work both indoors and outdoors. No two days are the same, so we’re looking for people who are happy to get stuck in and help wherever needed.

Training will be given, so previous experience isn’t essential.

Must be 16 or over.

To apply, send us a message to [email protected] with your age, availability, any experience, and a little bit about yourself.

Highland Cow Experience Host

At Farm Ness we are looking for a friendly, confident and reliable person to join our team helping deliver our Highland cow experiences.

This role would suit someone who enjoys meeting people, being outdoors, and sharing stories with visitors from all over the world. We think it could be particularly well suited to a retired or semi-retired person looking for enjoyable, flexible work with plenty of customer interaction.

The Role

You will:

* Welcome visitors to the farm and help create a warm, memorable experience
* Chat to guests about our Highland cows, the farm, local history and rural life
* Lead and supervise Highland cow feeding sessions
* Help guests feel relaxed and confident around the animals
* Answer customer questions and help visitors throughout their visit
* Ensure experiences run safely, calmly and on time
* Assist with light setup and tidying duties before and after sessions

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

* Is naturally chatty, friendly and enjoys talking to people
* Has confidence speaking to groups of visitors
* Enjoys working outdoors in all seasons
* Is physically fit and comfortable being on their feet for long periods and walking around the farm
* Is calm, patient and approachable
* Has good common sense and reliability
* Has an interest in animals, farming, tourism or Scottish history/culture

The Position

* Flexible hours available
* Weekend availability preferred
* Seasonal and part-time opportunities
* Staff perks included

This is a lovely role for somebody who enjoys people, storytelling and being part of a welcoming family-run environment rather than sitting behind a desk all day.

To apply, please send a short message telling us a little about yourself and why the role interests you to: [email protected]

Happy New Year to all of our wonderful customers and followers.

If you are thinking of visiting our cows before we reopen in the spring, please be aware that we are currently closed.

Our farm is located on a private road and is a working farm that operates heavy machinery. For safety reasons, we are strictly closed and not open to the public, and we cannot allow visitors to wander around the farm.

We understand this may be disappointing if you are visiting the area on holiday, but during the closed season we are unable to accommodate visitors of any kind.

For those planning a trip during the open season, our booking form will be live soon. Once we reopen in the spring, you’ll be able to book a visit and meet our girls properly and safely.
