It has been a big year for Grottograph, finally getting things up off the ground! I've been finding my way and moving forward, but being such a soppy old nostalgic I can't help looking backwards too! So I found myself a mascot - just like the one I had and adored as a wee girl, and who inspired my first card design last year. Now she is sitting in The Grotto keeping an eye on me and reminding me to keep at it! Thanks Sindy, you're such a doll 🥰

Pyro fun in The Grotto this week, adding ogham, runes and Pictish art to some beautiful salvaged hardwood pieces. In awe of how Rockstar Husband makes these offcuts so gorgeously smooth! He does all the grunt work, while I get to do the fun bits!
These beauties, in the form of necklaces and keyrings, will be gracing Grottograph stalls in November, perfect stocking fillers!

All set up in the vintage cuteness of Tore Village Hall for the Harvest Home Craft Fair! Open from 11 til 3 and chockablock with fabulous craft stalls, worth a pop out if you're in the area!

All set up in Fortrose for Groam House's Craft De-stash and Upcycle Fair! The sun is out, the stalls are set, come and join us - there's cake too! 😁

A few last minute floral froufrou, the most upcycled of upcycled crafts for tomorrow's fair in Fortrose! These started off life as salvaged ribbon scraps, vintage buttons and wire from asti agraffes! Made into stemmed flowers for decor at our wedding last year and now reworked into these fun buttonholes.

Very excited to be attending Groam House Museum's Craft De-stash and Upcycle Fair in Fortrose this Saturday! Rustled up these fun necklaces from vintage buttons, to add to my stash of flower accessories, almost entirely made from salvaged and repurposed materials! Come along to Fortrose Free Church from 1030 to snap up some crafty bargains!

Working up some more wee batches of keyrings and necklaces, with these beautifully smooth hardwood lozenges! So tactile, I love how they look all boxed up pretty, but had to have some loose to allow for touching at craft fairs! Delighted with my ebay find of this gorgeous old bobbin, just the very dab!

Anyone recognise any of these letters? 😜

The serendipitous joy of my two rainbow G brooches, genuine vintage 80s beauties from my childhood, forming a retro-fabulous logo design for Grottograph (forgiving the fact the Grottograph is in fact only one word 😝) has been a happy no-brainer since almost the very beginning of my wee business. That my name initial matches my business name is double delight!
However, when mulling over the need for some branding that offers more of an insight, it was Rockstar Hubby who suggested drawing out the whole name in my retro style - he is a genius! So I cast around some of my vintage memorabilia in the grotto and had a happy dive into childhood treasures online to cherry pick each lovely letter - can anyone recognise any of these? 😁

This full name logo is now being made up into a stamp to brand up my packaging, and will at some point make it's way to an updated website, when I get a moment! 😅
