We’re very excited about tonight’s guest on A Blether With, as we welcome someone who knows a thing or two about good wh**ky, good company and, most importantly, a good blether!

A self-confessed 'Good News Ju**ie', when she's not busy spreading the good word about wh**ky, she's doing a bit of blethering herself! You can find Shoa on her own Instagram, , where she shares her enthusiasm for wh**ky and the people who make the industry tick.

Shona Gillespie is a familiar face in the Scotch wh**ky world, representing the Loch Lomond Group and its fantastic portfolio, including Loch Lomond, Glen Scotia and Littlemill. With a background in wh**ky tourism and a real passion for the industry, Shona has built a career sharing the stories, people and personalities behind some of Scotland’s best-loved drams.

Tonight, we’ll be chatting about Shona’s journey into wh**ky, life behind the scenes at Loch Lomond, and no doubt uncovering a few good stories along the way.

Is your wh**ky knowledge faithful? 👀🥃

Over at our sister venue, The Foghouse, we’ve launched Trust No Dram — a Traitors-inspired four-dram wh**ky tasting with a twist.

You’ll be served four mystery whiskies. Three are Faithful. One is the Traitor. Your job is to taste, match the clues, build your line-up and work out which dram doesn’t belong.

Get it right and you could walk away with a prize. Get it wrong… and you may be murdered. 🔪

£20 per person

🚤 𝐅𝐔𝐍 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐓 👉 Did you know Inverurie was once connected to Aberdeen by canal?

The Aberdeenshire Canal opened in 1805, stretching around 18 miles from Aberdeen to Port Elphinstone. It featured 17 locks and was just 23 feet wide and 3 feet deep, built to carry small barges through the countryside.

Designed by renowned Scottish engineer John Rennie, the canal eventually closed in 1854 when the railway took over.

We are very excited about tonights guest... Felipe Schrieberg — award-winning wh**ky writer, author, independent bottler, musician and Keeper of the Quaich. Felipe is a senior contributor to Forbes, has written three drinks books, and his latest, The World of Wh**ky, was released in 2025.

He’s also one half of The Rhythm and Booze Project, where wh**ky and live music collide in the best possible way — from blues-and-wh**ky shows at the Edinburgh Fringe to helping create a bass drum made from an actual Scotch wh**ky cask. He also co-founded Rhythm and Booze Records, part record label, part indie bottler, and very much unlike anything else in wh**ky.

Felipe has also become an important voice in highlighting the risks around wh**ky cask investment and co-created ProtectYourCask.com to help consumers cut through the noise and misinformation. So there’s plenty to blether about tonight — wh**ky, writing, music, bottling, casks and probably a few good stories along the way.

Our 𝐒𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝟏𝟓 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐈𝐖𝐒 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 – £𝟕𝟗.𝟗𝟗 is almost gone.

This limited release from 𝐒𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐤𝐲 𝐋𝐭𝐝 is a 15 Year Old Burnside, finished in a Cognac cask for an extra layer of richness and character.

Burnside is a teaspooned malt made from two neighbouring Speyside giants on the banks of the River Fiddich — with 99.9% of the spirit distilled near Balvenie Castle and just a teaspoon of its famous neighbour added.

The result is 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒚, 𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒍𝒚 𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒅, with an elegant finish and that added Cognac cask influence bringing something a little different to the glass.

We now have 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟖 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠.
