So I turned 30 on Tuesday and it didn't hurt that badly.
I have many chapters behind me and hopefully many chapters in front of me. Von Black craft will forever be such a huge chapter in my life and I still miss it every single day.

I know it will get easier with time as I have this thing where I pour my heart and soul into something and then get bored and walk away 🙈 it's the Aquarius in me. I've been a figure skater, burlesque dancer, roller derby player to name a few and now I feel a bit lost. What the next chapter is I don't know but I know I'll be all the wiser for this amazing time spent knowing all of you lovely lot.

It's with my heart breaking that I must finally type these words.
Unfortunately due to health and other reasons I am having to take a very long break from Von Black Craft.
This is something I kind of knew would happen one day but I didn't see it happening this quickly.
It's been the best fun ever!!! I have loved creating and sharing my houses with you all. Your support and love has been the biggest drive behind me and getting me through. The videos and photographs of your wee ones playing with their homes and Nooks has brought me to tears on more than 10 occasions 😂😂 Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Everybody get ready!!! Dilly Blue have some ready to post Dilly dolls!

As promised, I will be stocking some ready to post items tomorrow (they’ll ship Monday as I can’t post at weekends) This list is exactly what I have and what will go into stock. Anything unsold will be taken offline on Monday as Dilly Blue is taking a break until January.
I’m afraid I can’t specify a stocking time, as half of the smalls are poorly so I’d hate to say a time and miss it, but it will be in the morning for sure.

Thank you for making this year so much fun. I can’t wait to share new lines in January and have our epic birthday celebration in February 🖤🌈

Making some wee circles for the roundabouts in my playgrounds. I love my band saw. It's always so satisfying to use 😍

Today is a hard day.

Yesterday was a hard day too and now I can't remember the last time it wasn't a hard day.

I am so close to finishing all my orders but my pain levels are off the chart. In case you were not aware, I suffer from Fibromyalgia and hypermobility which causes me intense pain near enough daily. Today it's more than that.

Today is my son's open session at nursery and I can't go for so many reasons but the worst is even if I could go, I couldn't play. I'd be that mum that is sat on a chair doing nothing whilst all the other parents play happily with their children and that's the worst part of the pain. Is the fact I look fine when I am definitely not.

I'm sorry if you are waiting for an order to come I promise I will get them out as soon as I can.

Today I took a break from everything. I have done no work at all. None. I can't tell you the last time I did this and it was much, much needed.

Last week I was so close to quitting. It was all getting too hard but I received so many wonderful messages saying how much they loved my creations and it kept me going.

Today I had to stop a few times on the walk back from nursery because of my Fibromyalgia flaring and I realised I just needed to rest. My body is saying stop. So at least for today I am doing nothing and trying to not feel too guilty about it 🤪

If you have ever wondered what the difference between a Gnome home and the Ned Nook is then here are some ideas as to show you the difference in size.

The big differences are the height. Ned does not fit in fully in the gnome homes. The Ned Nook is made taller so all of Ned can fit in.

Secondly the swing. No matter how much Ned tried there was no way he was swinging comfortably on that swing!

Third of all is the hammock. His bum might just about fit in it but on the Nook he has room to spare and can fit all of his wee block limbs.

So if you are thinking of buying a gnome home for your Ned then please remember he had his own home suit for him. The other homes are all for his Peggy pals to live 😁

Ps. Old gnome homes used to be taller so some peoples homes may fit Ned if they had bought them a few months back. If you would like your home to be made taller to fit Ned then please ask but that is the only change that can be made. Swings and hammocks will not fit Ned.
