It poured all day yesterday so I decorated the table for Easter. It made me realise that although I admire a pared down elegance, I am definitely a more is more person!

Good morning

Hope you had a lovely weekend. We had a fab day in London. Walked miles and I have the blisters to prove it! I subsequently didn't do much yesterday with sore feet!

Did anyone watch the last Endeavour? I loved it and am feeling really sad that it's all over!

I'm hoping to brave the winds and get out in the garden today. Have a lovely Monday xx

Mr H has gone out for his belated Christmas works drinks, which actually seems quite normal with the snow and sleet going on outside!

So Norman and I have made ourselves cosy for the late afternoon/evening. Lots of candles, a bit of knitting (me, not Norm) and just generally staying warm and cosy indoors

Good morning and welcome the first of March, the first day of meteorological Spring!

Also, happy St David's Day and in honour of this I've gone round the cottage snapping pics of all my daffs! It's definitely getting lighter at each end of the day and if we pretend they didn't talk about possible snow next week on the weather forecast last night it all seems pretty optimistic!

Good morning. Another weekend over very quickly! We had a very village centred couple of days, with our micro pub opening for it's once a month stint on Friday and then a lovely meet up in the village hall for coffee and lots of cake! My kind of morning. Both events were so well supported especially as we are a very small community

Anyway, back to seed sowing and I might brave the elements and do a bit more outside - it's really cold here at the moment

That weekend went far too quickly! It was lovely though. Saturday we went 'antiquing' I will show you in my stories this week's buys! And spent the rest of the day in the garden. Sunday we went to friends for lunch.

It looks like it's going to be another bright day so I think the garden will be calling! Have a good start to the week xx

Good morning. What a lovely few days of sunshine we have had.

After watching the horrors of the Earthquake this week in the news I am feeling so grateful for my family, friends, my home and the lovely community spirit in our village. We are opening the village hall to collect warm clothing etc to be taken to Turkey and Syria tomorrow morning. It really puts life into perspective doesn't it

What a difference a day makes! (Did you sing that in your head? Just me then!)

It's blimmin cold out there and a really sharp frost so I've got to go out and defrost the car before my swim! And to think yesterday we sat and had coffee in the garden, in coats admittedly but it was warm in the sun.

When I'm asked if we've had to do much to the cottage in the two years we've been here I generally say no, not really. Looking back at Rightmove photos to what we have now, makes me realise just how much we have done! Admittedly my bedroom isn't normally bedecked with garlands at Christmas, this was for a photoshoot, but who knows it may become a thing!

The cottage is looking very pretty in pink this morning thanks to the glorious sunshine

I had a few messages on one of my stories about the amount of seeds I've bought!

We dug these two new beds last year in front of the cottage as it looked very bare and have put in perennials and bulbs but will fill the empty spaces with annuals. I'll put in my stories some pictures of the garden (not looking at it's best at the moment obviously but it will give you an idea of the borders to be filled
