This is our last week of posting for the year.

The last day for Tracked 48hr is the 18th December, while Tracked 24hr is Friday 19th.

Our Courier service will also do a final collection on Monday 22nd.

Rapidos 16in Hunslet is very tight on space for fitting a keep-alive, we have managed to squeeze in a Zimo STACO4, this provides roughly 3/4s of a turn at speed 10, which should be more than enough to get you out of trouble.

Just brought a sound fitted Rapido E1 and require a keep-alive for it? Well the Zimo STACO4 will fit nice and neatly in place without being seen.

The unit although small will allow for up to around 4 seconds of running if fully charged, which at speed step 20 is around ¾ of a turn of the wheel, that should enough to get over most dead spots.

When removing the body we found it easier to remove all 8 screws from the underside thus removing the cab along with the boiler all in one go. The capacitors are taped against the circuit board with a wrap of Kapton tape to keep them clear of the drive shaft, with the little charging circuit fitting neatly on top of the worm drive cover.

This weekend we are up in Sutton Coldfield for DEMU annual showcase exhibition in the Townhall.

If you are into your Modern Imagine modelling then this is the show for you.

This year there is also a special gathering of layouts originally built by the late George Woodcock.

This weekend is the start of a run of exhibitions, first up (18th & 19th January) is The City of Canterbury Model Railway Society show being held a the St Anselm’s Catholic School. The following weekend (25th & 26th January) is The Erith Model Railway Society Exhibition back at the Harris Garrard Academy in Thamesmead, just beware that this is inside of ULEZ!

We are then into February which kicks off with Alton Model Railway Group's Febex at Eggards School (1st & 2nd February), we just have to pray that it doesn’t snow!
After that we are back into Kent with the Tonbridge Model Railway Exhibition 2025 being held at the Angel Centre on the 15th February, this is a one day show.
