Wow!!! 🌸🌿A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on Sunday for Itteringham Village Open Gardens, and for all of your lovely comments!

Friday nights storm brought an extra layer of work to the organising, but it also shew the true spirit of our community! Villagers and friends of Itteringham Community Shop pulled together, clearing silt off the roads, rigging up emergency satellite WiFi, and generally cheering each other on to ensure the day happened!

Thank you to Holt Ridge Morris Dancers who danced through the village, with many of you joining them, to our wonderful stall holders: Woodgate Forge, Burbidge's of Norfolk who engraved the much coveted raffle prize spade, SAM Sharp tool sharpening, Gathered Dried flowers, the Vintage Nursery Aldborough, Caroline with her fresh cut flowers, which you can buy in Itteringham Shop and of course all of our helpers, cake & sausage roll makers, including and The Old Rock Shop Bistro who both supply our village shop!

Thank you Threescore - Folk Band for spreading the festival feel of the day into Itteringham Shop, with your wonderful folk music 🪕

We had an amazing day and will let you know how much we raised for Itteringham Community Shop, Café & Post Office, our much loved community shop and cafe, once we’ve finished counting the beans! 🌸🌿

We nearly forgot! Thank you to 1st Buxton Lamas Sea Scout Group & Albion Explorer's for your amazing car parking skills and humour!

All of the gardens opening for Itteringham Village Open gardens tomorrow are within the main village 🌸🌿

Please use the car parks signposted and be considerate of other road users. Do not park on the side of the road as this could block access if there is an emergency. Remember, we are a small village within a conservation area, with narrow roads.

Refreshments are available at the Village Hall and Itteringham Village Shop,, and a pop up icecream stall will be near the village shop too.

Tickets are on sale at the village hall, which is next to the church. Adults £6, Under 16s free.

Please bring CASH as we still have no wifi following last night's thunderstorm.

Dogs on leads welcome, but there may be restrictions as some of our garden owners have their own dogs, which they need to consider.

Today, community spirit has been strong as villagers and strangers work together to clear the silt washed onto the road in last night's storm, ready for tomorrow's open gardens 🌸🌿

We still have no wifi, so please bring CASH with you.

Unfortunately, due to a power cut overnight, we've also lost some of our shops perishable stock. So if the deli and chillers are a bit empty of this is the reason why.

Thank you to everyone who has been dropping off cakes for tomorrow's open gardens. You are amazing!!! 🌸🌿

Community Spirit at its best!!

Head to Itteringham Village Open Gardens this Sunday, 15th June, 11am-4pm 🥕🍎🌿🌸

With eleven gardens opening, including our village orchard, there will be something to inspire every visitor.
