Ermestone Leather Quality Handmade Leather Goods Designing and creating our own quality leather goods from our workshop in South Devon on the edge of Dartmoor National Park.

Undertaking repairs, renovations and commissions. Working with other businesses designing and producing leather goods on their behalf, making their ideas into reality. At Ermestone Leather we like a challenge, and are always keen to learn new skills and try out new projects. So the special belt commission turned out to be for the big guy himself, and on Tuesday he paid a visit to the children’s ward in Derriford Hospital, Plymouth where he cheered everyone up and added lots of names to his nice list.

Father Christmas (alias Nathan Masterson) will be appearing in Raymond Briggs’ Father Christmas at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth until 31st December. We can’t wait to see him (and his special belt) in action next week.

Coming up over the next weekend.

"Art & Mind" is an interactive community art exhibition exploring the topic of mental health, launching at The Clay Factory on Thursday 9th November 6 - 8pm, also open Friday 10th and Saturday 11th November from 11am - 2pm.

Over a period of several weeks a group of 10 people worked together to explore the topic of mental health through art, making work primarily out of cardboard and other recycled materials. Some of the participants had little to no art experience. Together they worked to produce this exhibition which includes interactive stations where visiting members of the public may choose to contribute to the exhibition should they wish. Also on display will be collaborative output from over 1 year of The Art Club and also monthly 'Walk, Meditate, Create' day retreats.

The open evening will include talks from guest speakers at 6.30pm on the topic of creativity and mental health.

This promises to be an exciting and unique exhibition, suitable for all ages, encouraging dialogue on mental health and the role creativity can play. Entrance is free and you may come along any day. However, to join us on the open evening please email [email protected] to reserve your place or send a message to Artmoor Haven here via FB.

The RedPod Food cafe will be open, serving delicious vegan meals and refreshments. Please email [email protected] for the menu and to book meals in advance (essential for us to avoid food waste).

Thanks to everyone who came along and paid us a visit during the South Hams Arts Trail. It was good to meet you lovely people.

Off home now to put our feet up. Bit discombobulated after the clocks changing last night. 😲
