Thank you to Borders College and
Lee -Ann Gillie for the invitation to speak with students about Fine Feathers and what is involved in building a small rural business.

It was a pleasure to share the realities of running a business , the challenges, the opportunities, the creativity and the importance of collaboration and community support.

I hope the session encouraged students to believe that small ideas can grow into something special with passion, hard work and determination.

What an incredible weekend at the Traquair Medieval Fayre

From knights and queens to jesters, warriors, fairy maidens and of course our favourite pirate !! and wonderfully wild medieval creations, the eclectic mix of costumes was absolutely amazing. So much creativity, colour and character everywhere you looked.

One of the best things about events like this is seeing people fully embrace the atmosphere and have fun bringing history, fantasy and imagination to life. The effort everyone puts into their outfits really makes the whole fayre feel magical .

A huge thank you to all our customers for your support, lovely chats and purchases throughout the day. We really appreciate every single one of you. Thanks also go to the Traquair team and everyone involved for all the hard work, creativity and passion that goes into making these events such a success for the local community and visitors- well done.
