🍞 Sourdough Bags – A Little Update! 🍞
Hello everyone! 😊
I’ve been playing around with my sourdough bags, and I’ve decided that the best way to keep your bread fresher for longer is to use a wax wrap inside the bag as well.
So, I’ve made some wax wraps to match the bags! 💕
A little note about the colours: some wraps may be a slightly different shade to the bag. This is because the bags are made with wax and jojoba oil, with no resin, to keep them soft and pliable. The wraps contain resin, which makes them slightly sticky and helps keep your bread fresher for longer.
The sourdough bag and matching wax wrap are now £11 per set.

Hello all! 😊

I think the beeswax bread bag has passed the test! This is Day 6, and although the sourdough was starting to get a little firmer, it was still lovely to eat. We had some for breakfast this morning, and there's enough left for tomorrow, which will make 7 days! 🍞

I also couldn't resist making some cherry jam yesterday as the cherries were so cheap. I made it with low sugar too, which is great for me. It worked out at around £8 worth of cherries for the equivalent of one jar of jam, but it's only once a year, so I don't mind treating myself! 🍒

It brought back happy memories of the years we lived in France, where we had cherry trees in the garden. One year we picked an incredible 10 kilos of cherries!

So, back to the bags…

They're 35cm wide and 30cm high to the drawstring, which is where the wax coating stops. They're available in four colourways and should be on the website later today or tomorrow.

If you'd like one before then, just send me a message and you can collect it from the Collection Hut.
