The dreaded moisture meters, and market place "we sell sticks at under 10 %" . Works especially well when you barley stick the probe in and into the end grain having to hold the monitor because it isn't actually into the stick. Big difference shown on a fresh split stick even if it has been sitting drying a while. Still not dry enough to be going out. And sometimes they even manage to give you the same reading !

As this seasoned is kicking off remember while you are looking at market place.
There's often confusion between tonne bags, builders' bags, and cube bags.
A cube bag measures 1m × 1m × 1m (1 cubic metre), and that's exactly how we measure ours. We fill every load into a cube box to make sure you receive a full cubic metre of quality firewood.
From photos, many bags can look the same size, but not all "tonne bags" or "builders' bags" are the same dimensions. The amount of firewood you receive can vary depending on the bag being used.
At SSC Firewood, we sell all our firewood by the cubic metre, so you know exactly what you're getting.
