We love our customers!
One of our customers surprised me today with this huge bunch of peacock feathers! They have peacocks, breeding season is over and the four boys have dropped their spectacular tail feathers. I'm thrilled and I'm going to have a lot of fun playing with these!

I love going through the morning routine before opening the shop.
Having a hoover and a tidy, making sure price labels are visible (one of my bug bears - no prices or labels upside down!)
Putting out the 'open' sign to catch peoples eye and bring them in.
Put the plant pots out. We change them seasonally so we'll be bringing the summer pots in soon!
We love catching up with our neighbours. We're lucky to have a great community of small independent businesses in Kelso.

When we are at the shop we love a cup of coffee from our fabulous friends ._lifestyle_store and when I put my sugar in I like to amuse myself by leaving my cat spoon in like it's having a coffee hot tub! I really must get out more!

Such a beautiful evening I had to have a wander around the garden. The Dicentra are at their best and I have a lot of them around the garden as they seem to love the soil. I also have lots of Brunnera Jack Frost in the back bed which is dry and shady and they are seeding through it now along with the little pansies. We've been working very hard this winter and spring and we've cleared the very derelict and overgrown vegetable garden and made a new one which already has carrots, beetroot, shallots, potatoes, beans, strawberries, raspberries, white currants and gooseberries growing. Fingers crossed for a fab summer, lots of sunshine and the right amount of rain, preferably at night! 🤞🤞🤞

The sun is shining in the shop and I thought I would highlight some of the new quilts, throws, rugs and cushions in the shop this week!

1. A large patchwork throw in rich colours edged in turquoise 260cms x 175cms
2. A cream cotton damask throw, 215cms x 180cms
3. A French blue and ivory toile de jouy quilted topper with matching cushion 150cms x 150cms
4. A heavy cream cotton and wool crewel embroidered rug or wall hanging 250cms x 150cms
5. A pair of Laura Ashley fabric cushions 40 x 40 and 60 x 40.

None of these are online so come and see us or DM me and we're always happy to post.
