Jeez 2024 has been my toughest trading year to date so I’m super grateful to the 250 stationery addicts who placed an order this week! 🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅😅😅 THANK YOU!

So nice to be back to normal at work! I’m busy prepping for my busiest week of the year which lands between Christmas and New Year’s Day so there’s a lot of calendar rolling happening in the studio today! I’m also packing up all of your lovely orders so if you’re after a last minute gift for Christmas then I’ve got you covered. Last orders will be at 4pm today and then I won’t be back in the Doodlelove studio until 30th December .

You absolute legends! I’m happy to report that my store has been reopened!! I can’t tell you how relieved I am and ridiculously grateful for everyone’s support. I felt so powerless and stressed when my shop was closed last week so reached out in desperation on social media only to be overwhelmed by the kindness of strangers, friends, family and fellow small business owners ☺️ I really don’t think I could have done it without you so a huge thank you to everyone who commented, liked, shared and even bought a calendar or two from my website. I am hugely grateful!!

Still absolutely zero official communication from Etsy that my shop has been reopened or to confirm that everything will now be ok going forward so I’ll have to tackle that one this week! For now I’m just happy that my shop is open and a small amount of orders are pinging through 🥳😅

First off I just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you for everyone’s support over the weekend! It’s really helped me through a very stressful couple of days. Sadly 4 days later my Etsy store is still closed and as of yet I haven’t had any official communication from about my appeal 😭 To add to the nightmare I’ve also found out this morning that they’ve also locked my payment account so the money I made before my shop was closed is being withheld.

I totally understand why Etsy has financial accounting systems in place but I’m at a loss as to why they would effectively shut a business down in the middle of the busiest trading season of the year for such a minor clerical error (I had my first initial listed instead of my full name).

Lots of people have asked how they can help so if you could do one of the following that would be amazing:

1. Share or Comment on this post and tag to see if we can get a human at Etsy to help

2. If you’d like to purchase some Doodlelove Goodies then shop direct at my website 🔗 in bio and on my stories

please help save my small business!! I’ve been a seller with you since 2010 and have about a gazillion 5 star reviews and have been a star ⭐️ seller consistently over the last two years. I don’t normally reach out publicly but I am absolutely desperate! In the middle of the night on Thursday you put my Etsy shop on holiday mode without any prior warning which means I am unable to take any orders on the busiest weekend before Christmas 😩

After scrabbling around thinking I’d done something wrong I received an email 8 hours later to say that my account details weren’t compliant and I had used the initial of my first name instead of my full name 😭 These details have been on the system for almost 6 years so I can’t imagine why it was such a danger to financial security that my shop needed to be immediately closed. I immediately sent off all my paperwork but over 24hrs later my Etsy shop is closed and so I’m unable to take orders. If this carries on for much longer my business is not going to survive until 2025 so please please please can you get me back up and running pronto?

If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this situation then I would be very grateful for your help. I’ve been up half the night worrying about it so I really hope this situation is resolved soon. In the meantime my website is open for business if you need anything! Thanks for listening!
