We had a fantastic time visiting our friends at Manchester’s and shops this weekend in Manchester! With both shops located on Oldham Road, Manchester’s exciting Northern Quarter really is the place to be! Oxfam Emporium sells a fantastic range of products, including clothing, homeware, books and so much more, while Oxfam Originals specialises in retro and vintage clothing. Our volunteer couldn’t resist a fabulous pair of 80’s clip on earrings and, with such a wide range of items, you’re bound to find a treasure too! 👢💍👒📚🧸🎧🪞

Oxfam could not function the way it does without its army of volunteers. Here in Kendal, we have nearly 100 volunteers and thought you should get to know some of them. 🤩 This week, we spoke to Helen, a volunteer of four years who works in our book department. Helen specialises in local interest books, which she researches and prices for sale in our bookshop. 📚
Helen’s father was the treasurer for Oxfam Grange-over-Sands, so volunteering runs in the family! She loves the experience of helping to run a book shop and helping a charity, while being able to fit her voluntary work around her gardening business. 🌻🌺🌷🌼🪻
A big thank you to Helen and all of Oxfam’s volunteers. Together, we can change lives. ♥️

Howdy! At Oxfam Kendal, we've recently been lucky enough to receive a donation of twenty crates of books about the wild west. The crates contain fiction, historical accounts and even guides on settling and homesteading in the American west. Mosey on down to Oxfam Kendal to rustle yourself up a bargain. You'll find a selection on the shelves to the left as you enter, just past the till. 🤠
