This month in the workshop we have had the privilege to restore this vintage Greaves & Thomas chair for the National Trust.

Rachel stripped the chair down, deep cleaned the steam bent teak timber, replaced the inners and re-upholstered the chair in the classic Dove Crag Gray Herdwick fabric, breathing new life into the iconic piece of furniture.

Features included a very simple reclining mechanism and a beautiful weighted pillow.

We’re sure you’ll agree, a classic restoration that will look stunning in its new home.
