Thick coats of matt drying lacquer varnish are applied over long wide boards to accentuate the smooth sanded hand filled rustic surface that is full of natural oak character. Giving the same robust feel under foot as a solid floor but with a far more economical use of the precious hardwood top layer. The planks use a thick wear layer of European oak and are backed on an ultra stable hardwood multi ply tongue & grooved base. Realising that traditional solid flooring was wasteful and more damaging to the environment, V4 Wood Flooring have pioneered the use of this type of flooring construction over the last decade.

ZB105 Foundry Steel is given a weathered and worn aesthetic with hand applied distressing. The surface is burred and cross sawn with traditional hand tools and then sanded smooth before being stained with black and dark brown colour oils that give it an unrivalled depth of earthy colours. Unlike traditional parquet blocks, the Deco Parquet Herringbone range of floors are engineered with a thick oak top layer with bevelled edges bonded to a hardwood ply base, which means they can be bonded to any flat surface including over low energy underfloor heating systems. Their unique sizing means they can be installed in many different patterns. Also available in a matching plank.
