I’ve noticed an increase in followers recently and thought I’d pop another update on.

As you may see from last year, I had set up a small organisation taking medical supplies to Ukraine.

Almost a year since the conflict began I’m still doing the same and the group is going from strength to strength.

We need as many followers and as much support as we can get. The conflict is far from over, the situation remains awful.

I hope that one day I’ll be able to get back to growing some plants…we may be able to do it sooner rather than later… but let’s see 😉

It’s been such a very long time since I posted on here!

Unfortunately at the end of 2020 I had a family member diagnosed with immediately palliative cancer which required my full attention and due to work commitments and situation after, the plant shop couldn’t run.

Despite intending to start up again this year, the current war in Ukraine has required me to divert my attention again for a second season running and I am now organising runs of medical aid for Ukraine.

Whilst I am not selling any plants for a second year running, I am heavily fundraising to support the work I am doing for Ukraine and therefore can still supply beebombs and £1 from every pack sold will go directly back to my work.

A sunflower growing competition is also available to anyone wishing to participate with 100% of profits also going back in to the fund .

We have managed to secure a few more beebomb bags and now have a good supply to last for all those last minute gifts!

Don’t forget that beebombs have a shelf life in excess of 12 months so if you are planning on making a wildflower area in your garden in the spring or summer, why not take advantage of our special covid Christmas offer?!

Don’t forget we sell bird food by the 100g! It comes to us in paper bags and we can fill your own container for you at this end so no plastic waste!

I stock a premium all year mix suitable for all birds and have mixed in some extra sunflower hearts for good measure.

15p/100g which is £1.50/kg.

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances that require my full attention over the next few weeks, I will not be able to offer the usual Christmas gift range or a delivery service.

I can offer full sized beebombs at a discounted rate of 2 for £10 or 4 for £18.50 for collections only to include a gift tag for each bag and Christmas string (red and white) if required.

My stock is relatively low at just 25 bags remaining and I won’t be ordering more in now before the new year.

Autumn sale!

I’m having a clear out of some stock to make way for winter goods.

First up, Im clearing out on acrylic paint and terracotta pots.

Acrylic paint is great for painting pots and stones; keeps the kids busy for hours and can make nice little gifts.

The tiny terracotta pots seen here come with some free basil seeds so you could see if your children can grow some mini window ledge basil by Christmas as little gifts.

All acrylic paints are 25p a jar or 5 for £1. These will need to be choose on collection though as there are just too many for me to sort through.

Each mini terracotta pot is £1 and will come with free basil seeds.

I have 4 larger pots still available at £1.50 each which are perfect for planting a spring flowering bulb.

FINALLY!!!

Finally, finally, finally, here are the results of the sunflower competition!! They have all been verified and I can now announce the winners!

In first place (£20) with an absolute BEAST of sunflower measuring over 9ft is....

SUSIE EMERTON!

In second place (£10) is LEIGH (Amanda Wright) with her 8’7 sunflower!

In 3 place (two prizes of £5) are Debbie Locke (7’10”) and Grandad (Amanda Wright) at 7’3.

Congrats to you all!

We raised well over £200 which was all transferred over to Vikkis myton fundraiser back in August.

After an endless drama in accessing my messages on here (which held everyone’s pictures and measurements of their sunflowers!) I’m pleased to say I am now able reveal the winners of the lockdown myton fundraiser sunflower competition!
