Well, those evenings sure are drawing in day by day!

It’s always a funny one, when the weather turns, the clocks change and the lights come out, more and more of us seem to get together and ride.

Maybe night rides just fulfil that sense of adventure that little bit more?

Maybe we are all just a bit busier pursuing our other passions and interests, SUP, Climbing, Kayaking, Hiking and generally enjoying where we live 🤔.

That said, there’s little better than a sunset ride on your favourite mountain.

🚲 Heading to Cockermouth for the Tour of Britain this Wed 19 Aug? We have your race-day logistics sorted at Cyclewise Cockermouth from 9am to 5pm!

Drop your bike off with us and enjoy the action completely stress-free. Here is what we are hosting at the shop for you:
🔒 Free Bike Storage: Exclusive secure parking for Cyclewise customers who ride into town to watch the race.
🏷 Police Bike Marking: The Community Police will be on-site applying unique, permanent ID codes to register your bike on the national security database.
⚙ Mechanic Safety Checks: Our qualified mechanics are running free inspections on your core components, including brakes, tyres, wheels, and gears.

Make us your base for the day! Since the race starts right here in Cockermouth and finishes with an epic final lap, you can leave your bike securely with us for the entire event.

TOB Start 11am (lead cars 10.45am). Returning to Cockermouth Main St eta 14:42 for the first pass through, with finish on Main St eta 15:25.

🚴 Barrow's Big Bike Week Arrives In Town! 🚴

Cyclewise are delighted to be supporting Barrow's Big Bike Week, taking place 17th–21st August! 🎉

Join us at Furness Academy on 18th, 19th & 20th August, where we'll be running:

💙 Cycle Confidence Sessions

Whether you're taking your first pedal strokes or looking to build confidence on two wheels, we'd love to see you there!

A perfect morning to get out for a lap of The Gorse Trail at before opening the shop this weekend.

Due to the recent harvesting operations, we've had to spend some time away from our favourite trails. The good news is the work has now finished, and while the trails were closed, the brilliant trail fairies took the opportunity to give the final section of South Red a well-deserved spruce up. It's riding faster than ever!

Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the final section of the Quercus Trail. As you can see, clearing these windblown trees is a complex job that requires a specialist team, who aren't due on site until early September.

In the meantime, please don't be tempted to jump the gates—there's absolutely nothing to gain, and the closure is there for everyone's safety. Thanks for your patience, and we'll keep you updated as soon as the trail is ready to reopen.
