I've had a handful of customers wanting one, but I need there to be sufficient interest to make it cost effective for me as I need to order foliage etc in & have minimum order costs to cover.

Let me know if you want one, each one will be approx - £40.00, all will be a little different with foliage, seed heads and berries 🍄🍁🎃🍂

Well it's Strictly launch night & that can only mean one thing ................my Christmas wreath diary is officially open.

The weeks always whiz past for me from when it starts in September & then it finishes usually as I finish my last door wreath, so it's become a yearly tradition to pop my first wreath post on then.

Small or large sizes in any colour & design combination you want, and they last for ages, all the returning customers I get can vouch for that !

A day of getting final wedding quotes done and getting myself organised for the week.
If you are getting married and want a consultation in my garden/workshop in the next few weeks please let me know. I have to stop these during November until January due to the amount of Christmas door wreath orders I get but I do still have availability for appointments through October x 🎃

Well, it's the start of the new school year so I thought it was about time I actually show my face on here & introduce myself !

After losing two babies and experiencing a placental abruption I decided not to return to my secure, well paid job and retrain as a florist; it was something I'd always wanted to do, and after nearly dying I realised life was far too short.

I worked in a flower shop for a couple of years on a really low wage but I loved it, during this time I had Noah who is now nearly 18. When the flower shop changed owners I then decided to leave & work from home, hence the birth of Flowers by Lou.

Nearly 17 years later I still love it and I'm so proud of what I've created.
I was determined that out of such sadness something very good would happen.

I think this funeral tribute from today is the best flower arrangement I've ever done !
I was so pleased with it & even though I didn't personally know who it was for, I had to get it just right.
Filled with foliage & seedheads from her garden, it really did mean so much to me, perhaps it's because my garden is special to me and it was that bond of gardening & loving plants that made this tribute so magical x ♥️

It's really important you have wedding flowers that portray you ! Flowers that you love rather than flowers you feel you need.
When Katie came to see me over a year ago she wasn't really sure what flowers she wanted but she liked neat bouquets & her favourite flowers were roses & lilies. If she had flowers at home it always had to be a vase of white lilies.
Here's her bouquet from today, it smelt beautiful.
