Last week, I had the privilege of creating the funeral tributes for a deeply loved son, brother, husband, and devoted father to three beautiful children. He was a man in the prime of his life, taken far too soon.
I met with his family in the comfort of their home, where together we talked through the style of the floral tributes and how best to reflect both their love for him and the passions that made him who he was. As we shared stories and memories, I felt I came to know a little about the wonderful person he was. Meeting in familiar, relaxed surroundings also helped ease some of the stress during an incredibly difficult time, allowing everyone to speak openly and remember him together.
It was a true honour to create these final tributes, and I sincerely hope we did him proud.
Kirsty, Jodie and Isabel, you remain in my thoughts and prayers as you navigate the difficult days and months ahead. Thank you for trusting me to play a small part in honouring someone so dearly loved.
